Actually I listed several definitions of why Finley is choker...it's not that that is one of my definitions of choking...it's that it's your re ed definition of clutch.
PS: Finley did choke, in that series, in that game..check the PBP of that game slick...then you'll see exactly what I mean about Finley being the worst kind of choker...the kind that's good enough to let you down when it matters most.

Probably...the Spurs lost their mystique to the Mavs POV when they signed Finley...the Mavs knew the potential for a massive choke was there simply because we had their most massive one...it gave them something to believe in.

The Mavs knew we weren't invincible anymore..for the simple reason that we were counting on Michael Finley to win....and no team relying on Finley is invincible, as they knew well from first hand experience.

Finley didn't do anything particularly amazing...when you consider he was the starting center and was inserted as such to create defensive mismatches that played to his scoring strength.

The IMB awards were part of it...the rest of it was that David's team set an NBA record for a negative turn around, and put up the worst record in Spurs history, when he was out for the season...
