Ha. That is a good thing.
Not here.
Ha. That is a good thing.
I used to ask people what this story was doing in the Bible. Noone had a answer. Thats wrong one said "God works in mysterious ways" real orginal. This guy and his women are walking around town, they decide they need to get a room for the night. They find someone to take them in. As the story goes a bunch men show up to the guy.The guy,not the wife. The guy they are staying with says "no" He evens say they can do his daughter who has never been with a man. They say "no" They really want this guys ass. The man then says to the pervert rapists they can't have the man but you can have the girl he is with. For whatever reason they agree. So they rape this poor chick and leave her for dead. The husband runs across her and (me LOL) is pissed and cuts his wife up into 12 pieces, who does nothing wrong, infact she is dead, and sends the pieces to the 12 tribes in Israel
What about Deuteronomy telling to kill anyone who preaches about another god?
We take away from humanity when you believe in religion
damn, I used to know the whole thing behind Yahweh/Jehovah, the origin, etymology, all the meanings. forgot it
Dude, you are an idiot.
Too much to teach you so i do not have the willpower to try at this moment.
There is very little of substance you can teach me. Maybe some Egiptology . . .
When you go to church and end your prayer with "Amen".............
Muhhamad raped a 9 year old. Just sayin'.
The story is there as an example of the state of affairs in Israel at the time of Gibeah. It's referred to later in the OT, when in Micah it's said "They are deeply corrupted, as in the days of Gibeah" and "O Israel, you have sinned from the day so Gibeah."
The cutting up of the wife was a way for this man to send a message to the rest of Israel, which was effective because in Chapter 20 of Judges, you'll read that tribes of Israel (with the exception of Benjamin) gathered together to bring justice to these men, and ultimately went to battle.
Maher has stated it this way (paraphrased), "I don't know what god wants, so how can you with no more access to him than myself claim to know for certain what his plan is?"
I saw God today. That is all.
Yeah?
How is Manny these days?
From what I hear he's in heaven.
Yeah,
I heard he was visiting Jekka.

If that isn't divine intervention I don't know what is.

I'd like to announce I am now a born again Taoist.
"Those who know, do not speak; those who speak, do not know."
"better to cast your seed in the belly of a than to spill it on the ground." no more jerking off, get yourself a before you do this, God has spoken.
LOL at all of these prayers during the inauguration
separation of church and state, please! what about us who don't believe in the christian god? muslims, atheists, agnostics, hindus, buddhists, etc...
ridiculous.
Oh, and I get a good laugh everytime I hear the prayer end with "Amen" .... they don't realize Amen = Amen-Ra/Amun-Ra and that the ancient egyptian traditions of saying Amen transferred into the roman empire and filtered down into roman catholic tradition, which has now been carried on to ALL christian denominations including protestants
i find it hilarious they are worshipping Ra and don't know it ;p
really? you get a good laugh out of that?Oh, and I get a good laugh everytime I hear the prayer end with "Amen" .... they don't realize Amen = Amen-Ra/Amun-Ra and that the ancient egyptian traditions of saying Amen transferred into the roman empire and filtered down into roman catholic tradition, which has now been carried on to ALL christian denominations including protestants
yes, i think it's really funny. worshipping ancient sun gods and they don't even know it.
don't even remind me that the believers are already silly/ridiculous/whatever for believing in a boogieman in the sky, but on top of that... LOL
