Our beloved Mavs defeated the cursed Miami Cheat 111-96. A mediocre opponent, but a solid win. Anytime you blow a team out, it is good basketball. No complains, the transition game was flowing, the shots were falling and our ball movement + bad Heat defense created open looks. Dirk was pure efficiency.

Can't ask for anything more from the Mavs tonight.

All things considered, Howard has played well lately. He has 2-3 brain dead plays every game, but I guess you take the bad with the good.

And so our beloved Mavs have strung together two straight solid games. Now we get a chance to make a "statement" against an elite Orlando team. We're 0-5 against the "elite" teams this year, hopefully we break that ugly trend.

    -JHo needs to pass more
-Dirk needs to pass the ball less
-They should never throw the ball down to Dampier unless it's an open dunk, 5 TOs and getting his shot blocked by a midget. Erica is alright on defense, but watching him dribble and try to play offense is godawful.

Miami is tied for fifth place in the Eastern Conference; Dallas is in real danger of missing the playoffs in the lowly West. Perhaps you should have more respect.

Which means that while the East has become top heavy, most of the talent in the league still resides out West.

Anyway, good win tonight. The Mavs have to show us something against Orlando. They have to start building a bit more consistency.

I am liking Howard recently. He is moving around much better. Maybe the sitdwons in the 4th quarter have lighted a fire under him, but he is attacking the basket much more. If we get 06 Howard back, this is a completely different team we are talking about, even with the corpse formerly known as Jason Kidd running the team.

^Kidd is doing fine. You can tell how much better the team is when he is out there instead of Barea.

JHo is doing better, but 0 FTAs for someone who is "attacking" more. He has the ability to get to the line more than anyone else, but he doesn't. I like that they are not giving him the greenlight to chuck as much jumpers as he can in the first quarter though.

There was a sequence where J-Ho drew contact but passed the ball in midstride. Should've anticipated the whistle and gotten 2 FTA's

THose are the braindead plays I refer to. That and a missed layup opportunity by fumbling a pass from Kidd.

He got to the basket to be honest, and as Ghazi says there were times he could have easily gotten the FTs. The other thing though is that often the Heat were so spread out trying to protect the perimeter that the Mavs were getting uncontested layups. But as you said, he isn't chucking it anymore to begin the game just to get his, his play is coming from the offense and I like that a lot more.

Ofcourse Kidd is better than Barea. No one doubts that, but he is still a huge liability at times on both sides, which he does try to hide through his smarts, but his decline has been steep. Not saying that we would be elite with Harris, but better than this. Anyway, don't wanna open that again.

As long as the Mavs own whatever team me-me-me! plays for, which just happens to be the sorry ass Pistons, I'm good.

    I like the name.

As Texas teams, we need to drop our grudges against each other and hate on others like the Cheat (nice name), /Jazzholes and Fakers

Good win for Dallas. Time to trade Stack and keeping turning it up. Huge statement game vs Magic on Monday.
