Glad Pop took this decision to try out the scrubs and benchers. But would still want some of the Big 3 to get a look-in the fourth to see if a win can be stolen. Gut instinct says that Pop is not going to do that though.

HarlemHeat37 i dont think you can call it a meaningless game. Theres a high chance the 2nd seed will come down to half a game or so - and the Nuggets will more than likely be right in the mix.

It easy to say its still months away, but what if were on the road against Denver in the second round? What if we end up with the 5th seed? Its not a stretch to assume it will be that close between the teams at seasons end.

If there was another game in 2 days then i can see the point in doing this. 5 days rest instead of 4 doesnt make that big of a difference.

man - some of you guys just need to stop ing! Pop is the head coach - not you - and he made the decision he felt was right for his team. There's nothing you can do to change things - so either shut up and watch the game, or shut up and go away!!!

the Warriors game is different..Pop can't predict the future..that game was the 1st game of the trip..it wasn't on a back-to-back in the high al ude against a fairly tough opponent..

you guys look at standings way too much..the seeds are irrelevant..we aren't getting #1 regardless, so there's really nothing to play for in the regular season..

this move gives our guys serious rest, sends a message to the NBA schedule makers, doesn't allow teams to get confidence against us, and gives our bench players some confidence..

I get it....they're going to lose this game as a direct result of not being able to take care of the tier Warriors without an OT.

As opposed to resting your starters when they are already rested and tanking a game against a very beatable Western Conference team? Yes.
They're tanking a game either way, aren't they? Beat a ty team and lose to the better one. Is it to prevent injuries or embarassment?

And... your point is? On any given night the worst team can beat the best team. The Bobcats beat the Lakers - does that mean the Lakers are finished?

The Warriors were hot last night and it took a greater effort to beat them - but we still get one "W" and one "L" out of these two games. Yeah - the Nuggets aren't that far behind us in the standings - but if one of our big 3 were to get injured tonight - we'd be in a world of hurt for the rest of the season!

    Some positives so far:

    a) Hairston belongs.
    b) Defence hasn't disappointed that much
    c) 4 days rest > 3 days rest for the Boston game.

    Negatives:

    a) George Hill seems to be carrying the rookie wall each time he takes a shot.
    b) Ime Udoka joins the history list.
    c) Six games behind the Lakers now...

So the next time the Spurs have a back to back like that, ty team/good team...they should do what?
