I agree. If we can get a quality big in a trade that includes Bowen, then we have to do it. Outside of tonight's game we've been able to get by with minimal PT for Bruce. By resting for 30 days, arguably, he'll be even better for the playoffs where he can play 30+ minutes a game if needed.

I understand the argument that the games will get tougher as we near the end of the regular season but the team needs to be in the best shape possible when the playoffs start. If we lose a few more games as a consequence of acquiring a quality big, again, I think it's easily worth the risk.

Also, if this means more minutes for Malik then I see nothing wrong with that either. His brief but athletic contributions tonight were exactly what we've been needing.
Great point. I didn't think about that. Malik getting more minutes would be an unexpected "silver lining". His minimal contributions have been positive. I'd like to see him as part of the team for the duration of the season.

I guess this kills the Spurs-Lakers "Barry was fouled" argument; he shouldn't have been playing in the first place.
thank you for rubbing my on my face.

I don't think you really know what's going on here, but its not hurting anyone. Carry on.

You gotta be ing re ed if you can't miss a guy coming off the bench for 30 days. Take the silver and black shades off already.

So he shut down VC in the 2nd half? Um ok, so? Around here people think Finely could do that.
    Only in your mind maybe.

So he shut down vince Carter?

You mean the guy who kept the game close?

You better be high/drunk, or you yourself, as you so eloquently put it, are " ing re ed". No one here thinks Fin could stop Kidd, even if he was having an off game.

Ah Tully, I repeat to you again, what I've said many times.

You don't know me one bit, so don't assume you do.
Ah, yes, T Park, just as you do not know the dozen or so posters that each day you insult and try to act superior to.

So your assertion is that there is not a single player in the entire NBA that could be traded for who would help the Spurs? This is a ridiculous opinion... and you know it.

Spurs could send Udoka and Bowen to the Kings for Salmons if they really want him and I'm sure the Kings will cut Bowen as he would probably resign with the Spurs. This is of course dependent upon what the Kings' want, expiring contracts, financial relief or young talent in return. It wouldnt solve the problem on the frontline for size but Salmons rebounds well and would address the need for a small forward.

Salmons taking Finleys minutes sounds great to me.

I hate to see Finley catch a ball, dribble it once, stop, look around, and let the defense swarm.

Salmons could pass up a shot and drive it in easy.

Salmons wouldn't take Finley's minutes, Pop would somehow find ways to play Finley 25+ MPG..he'd probably give him Tim's minutes at C..

What about David Lee? The Knicks are still trying to clean house, why haven't the spurs tried to pursue him? Or have they.....CIA Popovich could be at it again.
