Bowen, Fin, Fab and Horry for Wallace, Herrmann and Sharpe would work. Saves Detroit at least $2M. Potentially much more adding in the fact that they'd get under the lux tax threshold ... plus they could buyout Bowen, Fin and Fab for less than what they are owed.
Still a pipe dream at this point but interesting . . .
Well, we did have Rodman at one point in time, didn't we?![]()
Throw that damn, worthless Ime Udoka in on the deal. Even throw in Ian Mihimi in if needed since he'll never play a full game in the NBA anyway.
Tim will make sure Sheed understands what the Spurs are all about. Sheed will become a team player again like he was when Detroit won the NBA Championship in 2004.
Then you could pick 3 or 4 of us off these message boards and we'll play for the league minimum plus all the beer we can drink, as bench warmers. Playoffs are mainly about an 8 man rotation anyway.
Pop & RC go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you owe me a coke JK![]()

Terror washes over non-Spurs' fans.
According to the guy from Detroit a third team will have to be involved to make this thing work. I deserve a couple apologies.
could we possible get kwame brown also?
We can also consider a third team being involved. They might have what Detroit wants, and be able to absorb more players, but need a third team to make it work...
More details would be nice...
Sheed would ruin team chemistry. Spurs are good without him.
I didn't hear him say that....
Maybe I haven't seen enough Piston games this season but all I see Wallace do is hoist 3's nowadays. He doesn't even make an attempt to post up.
I am going to go out and get drunk if this is true...
and if its not![]()
Hopefully that third team is the Thunder!
Works perfectly in the Spurs offense then.
He would post up if the primary offensive big.
Thats whats great about Wallace, very versatile.
Looks like this deal would put the Spurs over the lux tax and the Pistons under it.
I can not believe this tread is 6 pages. No way it is happening Dumars has said point blank the only way he trades an expiring deal would be to bring back an all star. Unless Duncan is in the deal it's not going down. No one IO mean no one in Detroit is talking about this deal.
Calm down.
haha that made me feel so good for about 5 seconds. thx
I'll believe this even has a chance when I see it.
But...
By most reports, Sheed's teammates love him. So I don't think he would destroy the locker room.
He does give away a free point about every third game and he would clash with Pop's philosophy of never allowing the refereeing to be an excuse for a loss (not that our guys don't whine too much already - although it hasn't been nearly as bad over the past couple years).
But none of that is anything that the best post defense alongside Tim Duncan since the 2001 version of the admiral couldn't fix.
While I don't think it will happen, theres alot of smoke there IMO from certain people.
You guys couldn't tell by the way he posted?
If a third team is involved, they might be getting one... again, details are scarce...
