If Sheed's contract is about to expire, then why would Dumar's trade for other expiring contracts? I understand getting under the threshold, but he couldn't get some draft picks out of this sort of trade? I can't imagine this happening without them getting one of: Mason, Hill, or Ian.

Pop and Sheed seem to get along well, at least as evidenced by their pre/post game banter, so I don't see this being a big issue as far as character.

Maybe I haven't seen enough Piston games this season but all I see Wallace do is hoist 3's nowadays. He doesn't even make an attempt to post up.
Thats pretty much we need from the other big which we do have now with Bonner. The surs do not realy need a scorer but a defender the shooting from sheed would be all bonus. Someone to stretch the floor Timmy can handle the post

I can not believe this tread is 6 pages. No way it is happening Dumars has said point blank the only way he trades an expiring deal would be to bring back an all star. Unless Duncan is in the deal it's not going down. No one IO mean no one in Detroit is talking about this deal.
its okay would yall rather have him walk at the end of the year with nothing or have something at the end of this year thats how detroit is looking at it theres no way yall could beat boston, cleavland or orlando even if yall ahd billups look towards the future 50 cent i mean rodney stucky haha is a pretty damn good player

    Sheed is proven goodness.

It would take a real assclown to get anywhere close to even scratching away at the Pop Duncan team chemistry fortress.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it an ESPN radio station in Detroit that broke the news?

He is jacking up 3's because there is no reason for him to work hard because he has no chance of winning anything with Detroit... and Iverson has never fed the post in his life....

All iverson does is drive until he gets into trouble then kicks the ball to a wing...

I just can't wait for the upcoming threads ing how Holt didn't want to spend more when this trade is declared on 'stand-by'. (It probably wasn't real to begin with, but whoever announced it don't want to look like a fool).

There have been worse head cases on the Spurs. Plus, we might get to see him dance during pre-game warm up!

His high arc jumper would be tough for LA to defend.

The double edged sword with the Pistons wanting a superstar in return for sheed is that the other team would want someone (stuckey) to go along with Sheed because he would be a rental. Unless it is a pure salary dump.

Dr. House, are you scared now, or simply terrified?

Iloved your lame comment about Sheed only hoisting threes these days. You forgot the fact that he makes threes, not just shoots them. And in the playoffs he would shut down Gasol to the point of tears. Sheed defends Tim Duncan as well as anybody in this league ever has. And this just in...Gasol is no Tim Duncan. Nor is Bynum, if you can ever get his "loose" knees to function correctly. Is that what the doctors called them, "loose"?

With Sheed, you LA punks wouldn't get within 15 points of us in any game, anywhere.

We'll wave to you from the Riverwalk in June, Dr. House.

no one is giing up a superstar for Sheed, Sheed is free after this season is over, he is also not a older and his window is closing so Detroit is bluffing on that part but I bet they'd take some draft picks and expiring contracts.

I like sheed as much as anyone but for people to buy into this as much as they have is bit ridiculous. Hey I hope I'm wrong.
