I have a question. (Sorry if you all think it is a stupid question.)
If a Sheed trade (ala Gasol) goes down, do you think the league would take action on trades like this from here on out? It could start a trend and make basketball less entertaining. Maybe they can set up a player rating system on top of the salary cap to keep the balance of power even. What do you all think?
I think the league would take action first on the "player buyout then resign with the old team after 30 days rule".

So....I live 3 hours away from S.A. in Del Rio and hardly listen to Chris Duel or ESPN Radio in S.A., so from everyone on here....is this guy a credible source or the station a credible source to at least give me SOME hope? lol.
It's a totally legit question. But we got the answer last year when the Gasol trade (the most losided, nonsensical trade in the history of the League) went down without a peep from Stern. It was so dirty that even Popovich said something about it.
The problem is that Stern wants the big market to teams to go deep in the playoffs, so if an incredibly stupid trade helps a team like the Lakers, Knicks, or Bulls, the league won't say anything.
This is why I would be so ecstatic if we were able to get Sheed. I would be surprised, but very pleasantly so. And frankly it would restore a portion of the faith that I lost in the League after watching such injustices as the Fisher shot being allowed to count, the foul against Barry not being called, the Gasol trade, etc.

I'm not sure why you all are reading the first post, then skipping to the end of the thread and ripping the original poster for making things up.
The original poster is only repeating what was said on Chris Duel's show on ESPN Radio. Duel had a source on his show on Thursday with connection to the Pistons who said that the Spurs were talking about a deal with the Pistons that involved Finley and Fab (PLUS MORE) for Rasheed. A third team or multiple other players from the Spurs would be involved.
So, please, stop jumping to the end of the thread and ripping the guy who started the thread. He's just the messenger repeating what was on local radio. As with all trade rumors, it's just a rumor for now.
There are more chances of Denver landing Rasheed than the cheap ass spurms..Billups is going to convince the Nuggets FO to go back into luxury tax for Sheed
