I can't criticize Horry. He did too much here. It would be like what Glen Robinsion did here - riding the coattails in 2005.
http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archiv...oore_or_horry/The Lakers have an open roster spot after trading Chris Mihm to the Grizzles, and haven't ruled out the possibilty of adding a veteran down the stretch.
"We keep that for a reason," Jackson said Friday.
"If there's a hole or something in your team and you feel like you can support that, it's always nice to have that option."
Mikki Moore was released by the Kings this week, while Robert Horry hasn't played in the NBA this season.
"Robert's been contacted by teams, but I'm not saying who I heard it was from," Jackson said.
How would ST react?![]()

Who cares. Horry is beyond done.
Oh? What? Getting paid to sit on the bench (maybe the inactive list) to win the ship?

Five (more) questions with seven-time NBA champion Robert Horry:
Q: I think you're the first One-on-One subject we've ever interviewed twice in one season, but this is the time of year when out-of-work vets are chased hard by contending teams, so we wanted to check in again to see if you've given any more thought to playing this season?
A: No one has called. And to be honest, I have not been out there looking.
Q: I'm asking because I've heard and read a few things lately suggesting that you were getting the itch to come back. Is that true?
A: I always wanted to play [this season]. Just no one wanted me ... or should I say no one I would have wanted to play for.
Q: The Cavs haven't called you?
A: Have not talked to Cleveland.
Q: When we spoke around Thanksgiving, you said that you doubted that we'd see you on the floor this season. You still see it as doubtful?
A: Don't know if I want to play this late [in this season]. A part of me feels it's not right to enjoy the hard work a team has put in to position itself for the playoffs. But [maybe I] would do it if I knew someone on the team.
Q: There were some suggestions in the media recently that the Spurs might try to sign you to a deal just to add you into a trade like Dallas did last season with Keith Van Horn. Did the Spurs ever call you about that?
A: I wish. But no.
But [maybe I] would do it if I knew someone on the team.
Rob obviously knows people on every team for which he would want to play.
Wouldn't that be cool if Horry came back and got another ring. Just please don't make it the Lakers
He could be the 15th man. I don't mind that.
I wouldnt mind seeing Horry on our bench.
Put him in, in late game situations as a decoy.
Horry is washed up he's got nothing to prove.
Is he still living in San Antonio?
True, sign him up for dirt cheap...while we're at it, drop sun yue and unretire brian shaw from the bench![]()
Sign him.
All we need is a decent shot here and there in the playoffs and he has earned his paycheck.
We are the 2009 NBA Champions
I don't care how old Horry is, he'll still give us more than freaking Finley.
Yeah, but one of those games was game 7 in New Orleans.
Horry could defend Bonner, Oberto, and Thomas. Fact.
Not just a decoy, they would have to pull someone out to guard him as his shot will still be respected by all.
His defense last year was OK. Sign him!
Exactly. He knows the system, knows the team, has the history, etc...
He has every right to go and play. Whatever he wants... he is a legend and this is a game afterall.
And as others said... he is pretty much done.
Bonner has been playing really well offensively and has been at least decent defensively. You don't want to undercut his confidence by pulling an out of game shape Horry out of retirement.
I don't care if Horry goes to the Lakers. I'd care if he goes to the Lakers and starts throwing in daggers in the playoffs.
I like Rob but if you watched him at the end of last year ----![]()
Let him sign anywhere he wants. He's a liability now because of his age. He was hitting clutch shots because he has the confidence and he was actually playing then. GL Big Shot Rob! To me, you're always welcome to SA whatever happens.
