Manu plays limited minutes because he plays an aggressive almost wreckless extremely physical style of basketball in which he expends tons of energy, draws tons of contact when taking it to the hoop, and is frequently a defensive focus for both the interior and perimeter defenders. A style that is breaking his body down and often leaves him worn down or injured on a semi-frequent basis.

Pop limits his minutes in an attempt to keep him healthy and extend his career as long as possible.


Scola OTOH is not a defensive focus, does not play an overly physical style and is not the recipient of frequent beatings from the opposing defense due to being a focal point. On the contrary, he capitalizes on the beatings the actual stars on that team get.

Umm nice try "Dumbass", but I gave you more than one example of players who averaged only 29 minutes during their first full season of starting"...also multiple reasons why Scola isn't logging 30+ minutes as a starter this year, (which you obviously didn't WANT TO address because it destroyed your argument). Seriously you might as well just change your name to "cop out", because that's exactly what you're doing....just toting the company line huh.

Also to say Scola doesn't play a physical/wreckless style of basketball is like saying "I'm stupid and haven't watched this guy play at all the year". The only way Scola knows how to play is balls to the wall. His nickname isn't passion assassin for nothing.

Bonner is nothing, but a 3pt shooter and that's pretty much it. Scola kills in the paint and rebounds like his hair is on fire. Whether your pride would allow you to admit it or not....Scola by a mile > than Bonner. Scola is simply a much complete player and stop pulling up season #s when Scola had to play with the ball stopping Tmac. Since Tmac has been out Scola is averaging like 14 and 12...Bonner doesn't touch that...He'll never touch that.

Incredible...that two guys of this caliber, capable of putting up these kinds of wholly unmatchable numbers, are playing in the NBA at the same time.

I think I saw Rafe LaFrentz come close to it once.

I think Eric Dampier has approached it a time or two.

In the 99-00 season second year player Raef LaFrentz put up an astounding 12.4 points and 7.9 rebounds a game...he also blocked over 2 shots a game but that's another story.

And he was only 23 years old....


A pity the tragic final years of his career. I personally think he could have been one of the all time greats...if only...

as for the other 100% certain statement, it doesnt require even rudimentary analysis because it is clearly opinion. but just to indulge you, I'm quite sure that kobe/laker fans are proportionally a larger part of the American fan base than basketball fans are proportionally a (minuscule) part of the Argentine fan base. therefore, there are more homer assholes from America than there are from Argentina (and I'm not even counting the homer asshole mav fans, or the homer asshole spurs fans, to whom you can call yourself a proud member)
