on another note, mike beasley is measured at 6'7" but he's listed at 6'10". i saw him stand next to durant during th rook-soph game and he was like 2-3 inches shorter than him.

i also saw hairston at 6'4.25" and 6'5.25 with shoes. 6'9" wingspan though. and pops has a wingspan of 7'0".

Did you even read the site you are quoting from?

There's an asterisk next to Duncan's name and the asterisk note says:

    * have an unofficial measurement that look reasonable.

Duncan didn't have pre-draft camp measurements and certainly didn't measure 6 11 1/2 in barefeet.

Yes, KBP, you figured it out. If Duncan is ever measured at 7' he becomes a mandatory center, as is clearly spelled out in the NBA rulebook. He also loses his eligibility for the hall of fame, as his championships and MVPs will be discounted in importance.

Hes not 6-11.5 w/o shoes, during nba draft he measured 6-10 w/o shoes.....he is shorter than D Rob, shorter than Dirk so I would say hes 6-11 in shoes.
Dirk is not taller than Tim Duncan.

D Rob is a true 7 footer, actually lists at 7'1"

Dirk is taller, no matter how you look at them. Duncan slouches so pics are deceiving, but there are no pics of them together where Dirk isn't noticably taller.

In the pic posted by duncan228 I guess Dirk has boots or something because he looks taller than he is.(look his eyes and Yao's mouth and compare with next pics)
DIrk is very similar to TD if you cut his hair.He could be only a few taller if he is.
And both are very similar to KG too.

    7'0-6'11.5

He shunk when David Robinson retired. I remember in 2003 and a little before he used to always be listed at 7 feet and David at 7'1". When David retired he was listed at 6'11' and Rasho I think was listed at 7 feet.
    Duncan shrunk by his choice.

When Duncan was drafted the Spurs wanted to play up the 'Twin Towers' angle. When Robinson retired, Duncan asked them to list him at his 'real' height of 6'11. The Spurs media guide changed for the '03-'04 season, some of the other listings, ESPN, NBA.com, etc, were slower to change, some never changed.

KBP, this was taken back in 1997.

Don't people in Greece get smaller as they get older too?
lol, you're just teasing him, right? You don't start shrinking at around 30.

Just for reference, there was a * at Duncan's name. If you scroll alllllll the way down to the bottom you will see that the height listed was a visual estimate; a real measurement was not taken.
You need learn read better. It as a measurement but was not official. This mean TEAM measurement not NBA measurement.

I can tell you that no one has ever measured him at 6 11 1/2 in barefeet - unless it was when he had a mini-fro, and hair counted.
