    Ariza took him down on purpose. First he swiped at his head then he grabbed his arm and spun him downwards. Rudy was helpless.

    How'd you like to be that high and have grab you, spin you and force you down? He had no way to land without getting hurt.

    Play like that has no place in basketball.

    And then he was classless enough to start barking at the other players who confronted him.. Ariza was obviously just being a thug and trying to hurt Fernandez for "showing up" the Lakers.

    Was Fernandez not supposed to dunk on a fast break because they were up 28 points? Would Ariza not have dunked in that situation? Come on give me a break.

    I hope that Rudy is OK or at least not severely injured.

    I think that Ariza should be suspended for multiple games. I'm thinking between 5 and 10. If it's 1 or 2 that'll be a travesty. If it's 3 or 4 he should feel lucky.

    By the way Odom will be suspended at least one game for leaving the bench and getting involved. Probably two games because he got into it with the Blazers, he didn't just walk towards the fracas.

    It was a hard foul. Rudy landed awkwardly. That's just part of the game.

    It's no different than when Bynum fouled Gerald Wallace. Not intentional at all.

    This isn't about the past. I'm for good hard fouls....but when a guy is flying through the air and you get his head (or go through it) to get the ball...that crossing the line...period.

    I don't think he should be suspended for that....but it was unnecessary!!
