everybody lies.
There is no hate. I feel bad for you guys.
You're so riled up and excited about being #2 in the WC and you all really think you have a chance to win it all. You don't realize that your team is simply too old to sustain a high level of play throughout a grueling playoff run. They will run out of gas again by the WCF, if they even make it that far.
There you go again with your back-handed compliments about the Spurs.
If the Lakers had Gasol and Odom missed games in the beginning of the season and the Lakers still had the #2 seed right now...the Lakers fans would be posting that all over this forum. So, please don't give me that!
And you went to the old card.....sheesh! Again, don't let the facts get in the way of your purple-and-gold view of the world.
Mason is 28, Bonner is 28, Hill is 22, Gooden is 27, and Hairston is 21 or 22....oh BTW, TP is 26 too. So the Spurs have gotten younger and are still in contention for a championship!!
Hmmm........we can debate legitimate reasons why either team can or can not win the le...but please leave the tired stereotypes alone.

Doesn't matter if we're #2 or #8... it never mattered. We've won it all with and without HCA. We are just confident that the core of our team has been there and done it before, multiple times. They been doubted before, and came through again and again, multiple times.
If we're healthy, we have as good a chance as anybody.
And as far as being old, Manu is just one year older than Kobe. Duncan is two years younger than Fish, and Tony is two years younger than Gasol.
Not only that, we won our last championship being the oldest team in the league, and this season we've added younger pieces.
So, again, WTF are you babbling about?
Key words, you've WON it all before.
This current Spur team is not as good as any of the championship teams in almost every statsitical category.
BTW Ginobili is still hurt with < 20 games to go. I'm sure playing on his ankles in a grueling playoff run is going to make them all better. He will be hobbled again and you all will make the same ol' excuses.
Yes we did. If anything, it's a great indicator we know what it takes and we can do it again.
We've had injuries this year, plenty of them. We also have made substantial changes to the roster, unlike years past. Pop has also been monitoring the minutes for TD.
Even then, I believe we're peaking at the right time. I'm fairly sure we're back in the top 10 in opponent FG%, the stat Pop uses to rate his defense.
Well, we're certainly counting on at least our core players being healthy. I don't think that's much different than any other team.
And BTW, Manu was actually back in practice taking jumpers today. Video at spurs.com... Probably another week for him.
How's Bynum doing? You know, last thing I want is to hear all the 'We didn't have Ariza or Bynum' excuses again...
It doesn't matter how Bynum is doing because the Lakers don't need him to beat down the Spurs 4-1
It doesn't matter when Manu gets back. His ankles are done. Anyone with a brain can see that. Playing tough playoff series after playoff series is not going to make the situation any better. He's just going to reaggravate them again.
You sound like you know what you're talking about...
Would it be like Kobe making believe every Laker fan that they won something, but when you ask him to show the goods he really has nothing?
We do need a healthy Manu to win our 4th ring in 8 years...
You definitely are hoping so. You know your team has no chance if all our guys are healthy.
Actually the Lakers and Spurs played each other at full strength this season and the result was a Laker asswhooping. It was so bad that your own coach didn't bother playing the Big 3 at all in the 4th.
I don't worry about the Spurs. Your team is no match for a healthy Laker team. I have facts to back me up, you have nothing but faith. This is like trying to argue evolution to one of those Inteligent Design nuts.
In LA. We also played with our top players in San Antonio and we won.
Now go ahead, and reach all the way to claim that Sasha and Farmer are difference makers. I'll be waiting here to mock you for merely suggesting that.
You do worry about the Spurs. You worry so much you're posting in a Spurs forum you visit daily, you take every opportunity to troll about them, and you redirect every thread to talk about your fears. You're scared less. You just won't admit it.
And what facts back you up? That your team have not been able to get it done in half a decade? Because that's a fact, and this game is played to win it all. Nobody remembers number 2.
If you think you're gettin' in Kobe's head, you gon' lose tonight, .
Artest got dealt with.
The Spurs won a game by 1pt with the Lakers missing 3 rotation players playing on the tailend of a b2b. Hardly the kind of win that inspires confidence of any sort. They still gave up 111 pts to the Lakers.
When the playing field was equal again (both teams healthy and rested) it wasn't close. The Lakers obliterated the Spurs.
The Spurs are 1-4 against Phil Jackson's Lakers this decade. Greg Popovich just can't beat Phil Jackson when it counts. Phil knows how to beat your team 6 ways from Sunday. I feel bad for you because when the Lakers win this season, destroying the Spurs en route, you will have NOTHING to talk about. You'll probably go back to the silly Kobe rape smack talk.
God you are one ugly stupid redneck.
Who is using excuses again?
We don't need confidence. We have years of proven success to know what a regular season W or L means. Nothing at all.
So we didn't play well one game in January. Is that all you got?
The only reason it's 1-4 and not 4-4 is that Phil went fishing for 3 straight years because you're team was too pathetic to either make the playoffs or beat the D'Antoni Suns, while Pop was having parades in the Riverwalk.
Pop sent Phil packing before, with Kobe and Shaq included.
Talking out of your ass again, are you? Not only I'm not from Texas, I never lived anywhere near the south of the US ever. So why don't you just stop getting owned and STFU for a while.
It was refreshing to see the Lakers actually playing some defense and hustle for a change in that second half, the defense haven't been there since that 6 game road trip it seems. That was the difference of the game......... and with Kobe ting over the city of Houston.
good call!![]()
The Lakers don't need to win a regular season game to know they are better than the Spurs.
That much is clear. 4-1 in this decade, trashed the Spurs 4-1 last season. There is no reason to be afraid of this team who is another year older and thinks their savior is an injured Drew Gooden.
But you're right to be afraid of a healthy trio of Manu, TP and Duncan. After all, they've been winning it every other year for half a decade now. They have the rings to back it up. How many rings does your current Laker team has to backup all the bull you're spewing?
I didn't think so.
Why would the Lakers be afraid of a team they trashed 4-1 last season?
Because said team wasn't healthy last season but it's gearing to be this season. And because the Spurs are an experienced team that has been down before and came back to win it all the year after.
We've been here before in '04... then in '06 with Dallas...
This is nothing new...
Why would the Lakers feel threatened by a team they've thrashed 4-1 last season, whose core players haven't changed, without Bynum or Ariza?
The answer is they don't.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ......So I guess by the same logic, the Celtics have absolutely no reason to worry about your pussy team.
Your team might not. But you sure are.
It must be opposite day because I could have sworn the Lakers trashed the Spurs 4-1 last year in the playoffs without Bynum or Ariza.
