our D hasn't been horrible..we've made mistakes on closing out the mid-range J, but it's been good enough to be in the game..the offense on the other hand has been disgusting..Duncan and Parker forgot we have a game tonight, Mason is sucking, Ime is Ime, Bonner is bad Bonner..
Finley, Hill and Gooden in his 1 minute have been the only bright spots..

+1. his energy seemed to invigorate the spurs for those final mins. bonner must sit the second half and the remainder of the season.
Come on man..it's halftime..this game isn't close to over..it's Spurs/Lakers..but even it if is...as the Lakers fans have said this week...this game doesn't matter...playoffs matter...but...we can get back into this.
Gooden did more than Bonner and Oberto combined in less minutes. More Gooden and Thomas, less Bonner and Oberto at this point.
The problem is our 2 best players at the moment are completely intimidated and hear footsteps whenever they play against the Lakers.
Same for our coach.
It's up to our supporting players to get it done, and that ain't good enough.
Duncan and parker are playing soft tonight... its ugly watching that. Gooden looked pretty good out there.. he should start over bonner in the second half.

I said before, if you take out the starters LA's lead will most likely go down. Duncan and Parker are killing this team tonight. The bench played a of a lot better and with more energy.
Get Gooden in there for the second half.
Bonner doesn't have the balls to play the Lakers.
George Hill has balls though. Get George more court time if Mason and Finley want to keep stinking it up.
From the little I watched so far Gooden is trying hard out there and Hill playing with heart. the rest suck.

I know I sound like a damn tape recorder, but Bonner ALWAYS sucks against the Lakers.
So does Udoka. Bonner's a great shooter, but he sucks against the Lakers. Pop please don't start him anymore.
Pop made a lot of mistakes early and most of his lineups have been horrible in this game. The Spurs spacing is ing HORRIBLE so there's no way anyone is going to score in the paint until that is fixed. Some of the lineups in the first quarter were absolute trash though.
Pop couldn't control his knee jerk when the Lakers scored a lot of points early even though the defense was fine. He put in lineups that couldn't board to save their lives and the Lakers ended up getting something like 6 or 7 offensive boards in that first quarter when they actually DID miss.
The 2nd quarter was better, but that was mainly because he played George Hill. But then on the offensive side we still ran some ugly sets that are never going to work against the Lakers.
Phil Jackson owns the out of Tony Parker and Pop needs to figure out a way to free him for some easy points.

Lakers getting away with mugging the Spurs what's new. But the defense and the rebounding picked up in the 2nd quarter, and the Lakers are starting to cool off offensively.
I still Spurs' chances to come back and take this game. Lakers haven't played 48 minutes of good basketball in one night all season.

Are you serious? Fin is the only one making shots and stepping up out there tonight. He's 7-9, and 3-3 from 3 for 17 points.
