All the beatles fans I know (myself included) think highly of Lennon not so much of McCartney (for example: John's songs are legendary while Paul's are nice but a little too comercial) , but then again, John's death may have something to do with that (I wouldn't know 'cause I was born after he got shot) so I'd take your word.

Sports can fill stadiums and can get people to watch them all around the world and then make people to go out on the streets to celebrate the victory. Nobody goes out to the street after seeing a Jagger show on TV.
