why is everyone blaming Pop because Timmy and Ginobili sucked and couldn't score and Cleveland's 2nd unit?
Have you not season the lineups he's trotted out there? Makes me wonder if Pop is pullin' a Pete Rose

Spurs have to double team LJ
i've been thinking that since the beginning of the game. if there's any player in the league who demands a double, it's LB.

Bowen isn't doing a better job than FInley with LB
I think he is making him work a little harder...plus he has the same amount of points in 13 less minutes. Finley was done last year, he is being propped up by Popavich "Weekend at Bernie"s style...

One of the most glaring issues is that we're outrebounded 16-23.

The shooters are MIA (no surprise there) but the lack of Gino and TD int he second quarter is mind bloggling.

Now the Spurs have a huge uphill battle in the second half, and should this turn into a close game, they'll have to look at the second quarter for where this game potentially could be lost.

Normally I'd say "Pop is gonna lay into them in halftime" but this time I think the team needs to lay into him.

Okay, Pop we know you have given up. So WTF why don't you try a lineup of Duncan, Gooden, Bowen, Manu and Parker just for the of it. Tell the rest of the scrubs that they are bench players and to get use to it. Then all you got to do is rotate 3-4 more players that are not named Vaughn.

Are you ing serious, did you see the lineups out there? get the out.
give me a break, Ginobili + Duncan should not need Parker for them to score a point.

Wow, at least Gooden and TP are doing great... And that's about it. Bowen and KT are alright, but not much was on for the Spurs in the first half. Hope Manu and Timmy play to their potential to start the 3rd, and Gooden gets more burn.

P.S. It is so hilarious to see tpark hate on Gooden, when he is the 2nd best Spur right now.

And I didn't see KT or Bonner play, but their stats indicate they did good, why did both combined play less than Finley???

Vince Carter for Mason & Hill would've been a steal. Anyone who passed up that offer is brain-dead.
Based on potential, it would have been even, as Hill has the talent to be a decent backup PG. Mason has the heart to be a decent backup SG (6th man). But with the way Pop has used them, we might as well have another star like VC on the team than 2 low confidence backups.

Spurs D is pretty good. They just gotta hit their open shots...very un-Spurs like to miss open 3's.

    Gotta stop doubling LeBron.

    Spurs got this.
Usually when the spurs start doubling any player they dont stop.. and that player makes the extra pass to an open shooter and he makes the shot almost every time. Been seeing that all season with the spurs.

SPURS LIVE AND DIE BY THREES.
    it's called fools gold.
Unless we hit all our 3's second half. we are not winning.

I hope all of these losses are just because the Spurs are not "interested" anymore in the regular season, but I doubt it.

The only silver lining so far to me is that Pop went to Bowen to guard Lebron. At least I have hope Bruce will be around for the PO. But I just don't understand what Pop is doing with the rotation. And you hear him talk and it's even worse. "Jacque Vaughn gives us stability that we need now"... Really Pop?

And mason is poop, sorry just a fact.
I ain't buying that. Poop is Steve Smith, and the host of other ineffective so-called shooters that have played for the Spurs.

Mason was effective. Winning game after game for us with clutch shooting.
He hasn't been exposed, more like mishandled.

People need to calm down. It's only halftime and we are down by 13. The first half was disappointing but the game is by no means over yet. These game threads are becoming a chore to follow with everyone overreacting to every little thing.
