Yup. That's the thing about this draft, between 1 and 30 there ain't a whole lotta evidence to pick one over the other. Spurs need some bigger/younger bodies.
Whatdoyaknow, that's exactly where Hansbro takes nearly all his jumpers as well.
Is Hansbro going to be better than Anthony Randolph?

Hansbrough can shoot the sidelines and can post up. Bass can't post up outside the paint.
Hansbrough versus Randolph, probably not.
So true.
Every time I see Green and Ellington play those guys impress me more and more. I wonder what their ceilings are.
God yes...agreed.
No ing way is Hansborough gonna have an effective post up game in the NBA.
Yea, probably not. He will also probably have some trouble matching up with all the bigger more athletic guys on defense. But I also think he could be a very effective big for a team that likes to go small and run.
Agreed Hansborough isn't even a first round pick in my mind but you never know some team might be stupid to waste their first round pick due to UNC hype ala Sean Mays '05. Hansborough = future scrub.
The NBA is lacking powerful post players right now. Lot's of finesse but few guys who just power up.
Hansbrough's got the strength, he has to develop for sure but I think he can be a good post-up player.
If he can get matched with a dominant center he could make a pretty good living in the NBA with his jumper from 18 ft and in.
Hansboro = Kevin Love
Too small, unathletic, and too WHITE to be an effective post player in the NBA.
Like others have said he will have to adapt his game if he wants to play in the NBA. Less post up and more face up game (i.e. midrange jumpers).
I think he has the basketball IQ to adapt his game though. And if he can do that, he'd be good in SA, since the Spurs system has a lot of plays giving a big man a mid range jump shot.
Ok so he's the next Matt Bonner......great.....If I were ever a GM, I'd want my first round picks to turn into Matt Bonner type players....
He's a lot tougher and a much better rebounder than Bonner.
C'mon, Matt Freakin' Bonner? Hansbrough is a of alot more of a banger than Bonner.
Hansbrough will be a decent defender, scrappy player, rebounder and scorer. Probably an 8-10 point, 8 rebound role-player, borderline starter.
Is it just me or did halftime last way too freaking long.
For all this toughness I don't understand how he cried like a pussy after a player on Duke broke his nose.
What the is wrong with State. This is not Big Ten basketball? What happened to the physicality of the Big Ten? Go inside and bang with the big boys you bunch of pansies!
Dude...watch the clip again..he didn't cry. He was pissed. He got up and tried to go after Henderson...WTF were you watching?
They can't..they don't have the strength UNC has.
I think he's alot like Mark Madsen, except with 100x better offensive skills.
