Bowen was playing fine, I don't know what those comments are about..the only bad play he was involved in was the foul where he thought we had a foul to give..other than that, the only points a guy he was covering scored was McCants off a wide open screen where Bowen received no help..

Garcia tried to get by him 3 times, and couldn't get past him once..McCants was shut down on the plays other than the 2 I just mentioned..

I think we can safely say the Spurs are a different team when Duncan is suited up.

I think he is saying if you want DEFENSE START A ING DEFENSIVE LINEUP AND SET THE TONE FROM THE START OF THE GAME.

This offensive lineup has allowed one of the worst team in the league to drop 60 on us in the first half.

THAT play a defensive lineup from the start.

I've had enough of Bonner and Finley in that 5.
stop living in the past, its not so easy to trot out a defensive lineup. Previously we had a big three in there, so we can afford to have two non contributing players - bowen and oberto in there. Now it would be parker and 4 defensive players. that would be suicide. Parker is awesome, but hes not God.

See, there you go. 7pt game, Sacto have been shooting the lights out, nothing to worry about.

You'll see a far more intense Spurs in the 2nd half, and we will win this game.

about time the real kings show up.

spurs fortunate to be only down by 7 at the half. pretty much sums up the last month or so.

wake up and take this thing over in the 2nd half damnit!

Parker has played the 19min, I would give him at max 30 minutes, we need him to be as fresh as possible by next Saturday.

winning the game isn't really in doubt..it's just bad tendencies to sleep on teams..it's always better to play hard and smart at this point of the season, we need a rhythm going into the playoffs..

That's more like it! That's what I'm talkin about! Tony was finally able to get in there and be aggressive! Now continue that in the 2nd half.

    TP, Mason, Bowen, Gooden, KT.
    That's 3 scorers and 2 defenders.

I'd rather the score be 43-36 or something like that rather than letting the Kings drop 60 on us.

How do you know it wouldn't be better? The only times that Pop started Bruce this year the defense was pretty darn good and was probably one of our best stretches of the season defensively.

lol don't worry about it man that makes too much sense. Pop and the rest of his fans wouldn't go for that.

    Well said.

Whether we like it or not, this year's team is not capable of classical Spurs defense for long periods. We live or die by the jumper this year.

We need him to win the game. A few more mins here and there won't affect his "freshness".

It is for a lot of the other cliffjumpers in the thread!

As for a rhythm going into the playoffs, sorry, but it's too late for that. No SPAM, no Manu, beaten up Tim, Bruce mostly MIA... at this point it's cross your fingers and hope time.

Here's the thing that annoys me....out of all the bigs...Matt freaking Bonner got the most mins!!! WTF?!?!

    Bonner- 13 mins
    Thomas- 11 mins
    Gooden-10 mins
    Oberto- 5 mins

More Gooden and Thomas, LESS BONNER.
