, Dallas could win the whole thing. I've never seen a team so committed to defense while showing a constistent execution on offense. Some people have questioned the chemistry of the Mavericks, but they forget the mantle that the Mavericks have. Each player is dedicated to integrity and hard work. And it's very possible that this team might be the example David Stern is looking for in teamwork and civil duty at the same time. The Dallas Mavericks could very well be America's team in basketball just like their counterpart in the NFL.

Dallas would not be better off swapping out Devin Harris for Jason Kidd. Harris is an incredible scorer and an Iverson-lite, and he helps neutralize Tony Parker, but I guarantee you the Mavs don't go 50-32 and grab the 6 seed with Harris.

Harris for Kidd would've been fine. It's the draft picks, the cash and sacrificing the MLE for this year that sucked.
