they'd be better, for damn sure.
They would be the same as they are now
They would be contenders, 2nd seed, make it to WCF but not the NBA Finals
They'd win 1 championship and thats about it
A dynasty with multiple championships.
Discuss....
If Portland drafted Durant, Durant would have missed his rookie season due to injury and have chronic back problems. And Greg Oden would have already averaged 20/10/3 in both his first two seasons on his way to becoming the best center in the league. It's not Oden. It's Portland.
WCF or finals, but would never win. Technically, Portland would have the youngest "big three" in the league in roy, durant, and aldridge. Those three players alone can make all the shots for the team, while all joel przybilla needs to do is do what he does best: rebounding. Same with Steve blake, just stay open for the threes and the team's set.
Oh yeah, and either Travis Outlaw, Martell Webster, or Rudy or a combination of them would've been traded by the 08-09 season trade deadline.
They wouldn't have been so motivated to move ahead of the Spurs to draft Batum.
rockets drafted batum dumbass
They would be a bit better, but i dont think alot would have been different.
They'd had been better, also it would be easier for them to tempt another good veteran big to move over to their team.
Ok, here's a scenario. Someone posts something I think is wrong. My choices:
1. Look up the facts and write a post with the correct info.
2. Fail to check the facts and post an insult.
You chose number 2, which also in some ways describes the quality of your post.
Portland bought the 27th pick from the Hornets and packaged it in with 33rd pick in a three way trade with Houston and Memphis that netted Batum for the Blazers.
So the official draft recap will show Batum at 25 for Houston, Arthur at 27 for New Orleans and Greene at 28 for Memphis. Before the broadcast was over, we all knew what teams these players actually belonged to.
Apology accepted.
lol
