I stand corrected, apparently Greeks don't really believe in EU.

Anyway Rasho is better than any C on any greek team so it's a non issue.
    lol not even close

Boruousis, Vujcic, Pekovic, Batiste > Rasho

Shermadini is not but he will be in 2-3 years.

This is ridiculous. A player like Pekovic would destroy him without even barely trying.

If we can give Kurt Thomas, Matt Bonner and Fab Oberto a combined $10 mill. we can certainly pay at the most $5 million to Rasho. He didn't do bad when he was here, its just that the spurs wanted to go small and he didn't fit in. Now we have 2 centers who are short and over 34. Its time we go back to having 2 7'0 footers.

I think you are confused. You do not have to serve in Greek military to get a passport.
true, but you need to show them the army papers to renew it, and it is safe to say his passport has expired lol....

But I am asking he got his passport because PAOK bought it for him right? I am trying to know his reasons better. Peja for example has a Greek wife and also a home in Greece.

Toronto’s still smallish off the bench with its bigs.if it’s Evans and Hump, which is why I’m hearing they remain entirely interested in Rasho...

I don't think, that signing for a lotto team with still some depth at the PF/C spot, is a smart choice for Rasho.

Me neither. There was a time a while back I thought he might go back to Toronto, but not any more. A lottery team whose All-Star is in trade rumors and that just traded for another big man is not a good place for him. If he stays in the NBA, he wants to play at least some and/or be on a really good team. I'm still holding out my hopes for Houston.

He would seem like a perfect replacement for Mutombo. Do you think he will be as willing as Deke was to play for minimum?

Players without rings nearing end of their careers are usually the ones willing to play for the minimum. Rasho's got a ring. If he can get more, he won't play for the minimum.

Rasho was a good defensive center. He was always in the right place on rotations. As a back up playing limited minutes and probably a number of DNP-CD's at minimal salary Rasho would be an excellent pick up. He knows the system as good as anyone and that would mean a ton. He has good size which the current crop of posts has lacked and I believe has hurt us. But no way is he worth anywhere near $5 million. LLE at the most.

Rasho matchup wise would be fantastic vs the Lakers due to his mobility.

Yeah I agree. I thought I was the only one that noticed Rasho looks like a vampire with them blue lips. Thats creepy, LOL. I swear if we put two bolts and some green paint on him he could double for Herman Munster.

We should learn from our past mistakes and PASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS on this fool. He'd be adding another member to the S.A.ARP group we've got. 33yr old chump. Quit living in the past people, he's an OLD SCRUB.

I miss Sho. He is a hard worker and, from all accounts I have heard, an awesome teammate.
I would love to see him on the Spurs, but don't think it is a good career move for him.
( I feel the same way about Hedo.)

    Remember this:

“If Messina really did come to Toronto, I’d like to come back and be coached by him again,” said Nesterovic. “In reality, I’d like to be coached by him wherever he goes to coach. With Messina, you always play to win, and when the players are able to achieve that mindset, it’s easier to obtain great success.”

If he doesn't go to Real Madrid, I wouldn't mind him back on the Spurs, but I doubt that would happen. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Houston went after him. They desperately need some size up front, and I think Rasho might fit in with them.
