    I would rather have Gasol that dwight...for the Rocket's system of course. For a diff type with the proper players to surround him, dwight would be nice.

    no, Kobe is already having to do so much on the offensive end.

    EDIT: I will say though that Dwight Howard is giving his team a ridiculous presence on the defensive end. He's contesting everything inside the 3 point line every possession. I think I underrated him as a defensive player.

    Dwright is the only player in the league that can compete with Lebron on the same platform, Kobe is still damn good but his age doesn't allow him to run with Dwright and Lebron for too long. So it's not a deal even if the Lakers offer Kobe rather than a soft husk and an injuryprone.

    10 more years of Dwight for 3 more years of Kobe. Gasol and Bynum are not elite players that you can build around, so once Kobe's decline is official it would be back to the drawing board. With Dwight, you have that center piece for at least 10 more years.

    Kobe + Dwight would win the championship for the foreseeable future. Kobe is a top 3 offensive player, and Howard is the biggest defensive intimidator in the league. Give Howard a real big man coach like Kareem (Ewing sucks), and lord only knows how good he'd be.

    The Lakers would be idiots not to make that trade. Gasol is a soft and Bynum is an overrated, injury prone big who sucks for half the season, has one good month, and then gets overrated to by Lakers fans.

    More like two weeks I totally agree with you on all points. If the Lakers got Howard they would be insanely better and their chances would improve to win a le and actually have a future after Kobe craps out in a couple of years. I would do this trade in a heartbeat.
