Hey Dan are you ready for this? My Toronto boys are going to light it up today!!
my team can suck my . They are a bunch of roiders, chokers, and underachievers. Jon Lester in perticular. Dude gets married then can't even give 5 solid innings. Scott Baker has a no hitter, and a 1 hitter this year going into the 6th inning and gives up over 5 runs in one inning in each of them. My team can blow me.

OK good, hey anything can happen. Around this time last year I was in dead last and I made a surge to sneak into the playoffs. Its a long season still. Im happy im hanging on with all my injuries I have had to face.

I'm hanging in on the ATRAIN optimism plan.

At this point, if I could get something useful out of Wang or Webb, I'd be pretty happy.

Still have some good 3rd-4th OF (Abreu, Dye, Damon, Matsui) that are available for relievers (not necessarily closers) or commensurate infield help.

No worries commish you cant give up, anything can and will happen. Look at this week a lot of the top teams either lost (LIKE ME) or barely got any points. It just proves how good some of these teams are even down on the bottom. Last year was a bit tougher since we had 2 more teams so you guys at the bottom can sneak up faster than you realize. I think thats why I like this league its very compe ive. I think all of us in this league should go on to form a fantasy football league. Im sure all of us play that as well. It would be fun to keep the compe ive edge we all have over to fantasy football. I know there are always tons of Spurstalk fantasy football leagues but I think Timvp should keep one reserved for us . Just a suggestion.

Its easy and doesnt take as much work as baseball but IT does taint the sport for the fan I think. I dont do this in baseball as much but I know some of you know what im talking about. Its like if I have Peyton Manning as my qb. So when he plays the Texans I want a Texans victory but I want Manning to throw for 350 and 4 td's hahahha. I hate that !!

See, that is why I have yet to play it. Because honestly, with only 16 games in a season, every game counts and I don't want to have to root for teams/players I dislike, particularly against my Cowboys. I think it would ruin Sundays for me.

With baseball, 162 games is a lot, so if someone on your fantasy teams lights up your real-life team or something like that, it is only 1/162, no biggie. Plus, I just enjoy baseball a lot more and know more about it. I actively follow the minor leagues and know the up-and-comers, whereas I pay zero attention to college fb.

Yeah I know what you mean, It sucks but I cant keep away from fantasy football. Plus it helps when you root for a team that sucks lol, at lease you have something to look foward to come football season.

I swear, this is the way it goes for me. I got the anchor of my staff pitching a decent game tonight and it gets delayed in the 4th inning. Just long enough for him to need a full rest, but not enough to get a win, or help me out with innings.

so now it's even worse. Not only did he start and throw 57 pitches, but he only gave up a run, had a WHIP of 1.00 with 4k's then it gets PPD and I get nothing out of it! WTF is that all about? There were even 2 guys on base which could have gotten him the lead in a 1-0 ballgame. First underachievement (Rollins), then Roids, then starts that get rescinded. The baseball gods are messing with the wrong cat.

yeah but thanks to you my Pitching will have to limbo under the Brooklyn Bridge after some stellar outings by your squad last night. You set that bar real high.
