3 game sweep yes but 4 game sweeps are extremly rare...this is still the Rangers were talking about, not the late 90's Yankees teams that waxed every team in there path
Yeah you can complain about not sweeping the A's.
First place teams SWEEP the bottom feeders of their respective leagues and thats what the A's are.

taking 3 out of 4 from a division rival is always acceptable. especially when 2 of those games came off a doubleheader sweep.
T.R. Sullivan (Rangers beat reporter, for those who don't know) answered an very interesting question recently with a very interesting answer...check this out.
Will the Rangers try to trade for an ace if they are still in first in July? And who could they get?
-- Ryan M., Flagstaff, Ariz.
The Rangers don't need a starting pitcher right now. That could change in a week's time. If the Astros are willing to talk about Roy Oswalt, bet the Rangers will be interested. He's due $31 million over the next two years but the Rangers have some money coming off the payroll next winter. He has a full no-trade clause but that might be where Nolan Ryan comes in. Oswalt pitched at Round Rock. The price in prospects would be steep, but he might end up being a target for the Rangers.
-----------
I think Oswalt would DEFINITLY help out the Rangers when it comes to being an ace. The only question would be what we have to give up.
this 10 game stretch against NY, Bos, & Tor will tell us how good our beloved Texas Rangers really are.
6 or more wins is great, 5-5 is acceptable, anything less than that and I'll be pissed.
Not Feliz or Smoak. They're untouchable. Aside from that, I'd like to see them try to make something happen.
Exactly...but I'll tell you..they're looking damn good right now. Best record in the AL...second best record in baseball. I just want to make sure I don't say anything to jinx them...they're looking strong.
They're DEFINITELY untouchable...agreed. But a nice trade..maybe we'll get a "Gasol"-like trade..lol...since Houston will probably be wanting to get rid of that contract
Man I hope the Rangers trade for Oswalt, that will make it easy for me to officially switch allegiance.
Can I ask also, why the F*(&(* Its so goddamn hard to order a Rangers jersey?
I want a Hamilton in blue, and a Salty and Andrus in blue but can't find any authetnic size 56 ANYWHERE!
I can fit in a 52, but prefer them to fit extra baggy.
no ing ..I've been looking forever...let me see what I can find real quick..
I found a good looking replica with a size 54
Scratch that, Eric...found a site with authentics...size 56 available...

Thanks, wish they would customize. I'd get at least 3.
I will be glad when Hicks sells the Rangers. For those who defend Hicks let me remind you the Rangers SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
. i just want to split this trip.
i hate the ing yanks
Hamilton is back on the DL...
Only thing good about Padilla is that he drilled Tex twice
At least the Angels lost again
hmm..2nd best record in the AL..yet they suck...![]()
...I hate that I missed that.
hopefully this series opens their eyes that, yes, they need pitching, despite how good the pitching has been against mediocre to bad hitting teams.
