In an alternate universe, Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard could have became teammates on the Clippers.
The Clippers secured the second overall pick behind Orlando, the team that won the lottery and selected Howard. The second overall pick was traded to expansion Charlotte and with the fourth pick, the Clippers selected Shaun Livingston.
Bryant was also a free agent that summer and was heavily courted by the Clippers.

Lol....thats the dumbest thing Ive ever heard. They almost had Howard because they had a pick that wouldnt have been high enough to select Howard. In that case, every team in the league other than Houston and Portland almost had Jordan.
The Suns almost had Lew Alcindor and David Robinson.
The point is, had they had Kobe and Dwight Howard..................
They would have found a way to mess it up anyway. Ask Elton Brand.

Kobe and Howard would own the world if they were on the same team. This is a really stupid article though, you could do this kind of what if for every team every year.

scratch that..should have had him..Portland is horrible at selecting big men...they always get injuries...ie Bill Walton, Sam Bowie, now Greg Oden.
