Yeah...too bad they can't all be like the Bulls-Celtics series...now THAT was one for the ages.
This is the most anti-climatic NBA Finals (because Cleveland lost) since the New Jersey Nets were trounced by the Lakers 8 years ago.

Orlando's chances of winning this series will largely depended on how much leeway the refs are gonna give Howard to muscle lakers out of his way in the paint.
It seems to depend on who's guarding Howard. Against CLE's Joe Smith for instance, I noticed Howard was not allowed to use aggressive tactics, and they rung him up for offensive fouls when he tried. Oddly, after the 1st game or 2, Brown stopped playing Smith, and instead used Varejao and Illguaskas the rest of the way, and both of those guys did not get the same type of calls. Against these two, Howard was allowed to use his shoulder to bump and push Varejao out of his way, and he used alot of force in doing so, without drawing fouls. Couple times he nearly took Big Z's head off, and still they swallowed (the refs).
If this first game against the lakers was any indication, its gonna be a long series for Howard, as they absolutely did not allow him to do the same to the laker's interior defenders as he did to the cavs. Gasol in particular seems to be good at flopping and fooling the refs into thinking he was hammered when in reality he was barely touched. If the refs are going to call Howard every time a laker spazzes out over being bumped the magic will not be able to get their inside-out game going and it will be a short series.

Absolutely! I haven't been this pumped up for the Finals since 2005. The Lakers finally look like adults (looked like kids last season) and Orlando, sans van gundy, looks primed for some mean-ness.
I think Orlando needs to win a game or two, then the ratings will go through the roof. If LA continues to stomp them then no one will care. We need a compe ive finals.

That team had Wade and a bunch of gambling hungry officials trying to make money. Plus a bunch of experienced veterans. Orlando has no one capable of playing like that. Lmao, Hedo is their number 1 option in crunch time. Come on now.
Most anti climactic series since... uhhh 2007. That series was a very predictable sweep due to the Bowen factor.

No way Orlando wins this series. Every advantage they had against Cleveland- size on the perimeter, Dewey getting whatever he wanted down low- is negated against Los Angeles. They MIGHT get a game or two in Orlando, but that's it.
Using the word "entertaining" to describe the activity of hockey watching should be a felony.

Lakers actually aren't that exciting.
They have the ability and length to kick a team while they are down thanks to that Pau trade.

Lakers aren't that exciting. I'm sure the Lake show is going to take the le this year. Orlando can't shoot as bad as they did in game 1 but it's a pipe dream still.
Would have been better if it was a Nuggs/Magic Finals
Compared to the 2007 finals anything is exciting.
