Ok well I'm doing this ahead of time, and no this isn't supposed to be a jinx Orlando has no chance if they couldn't win last night, but for years now I've said Kobe couldn't win a ring as the best player on his team, and I was wrong. Plain and simple. I'd also like to thank most of the Laker fans here for what is way better behavior than the Laker fans on the Suns forum I post at. Yeah sure it's not perfect but it's way better than repeating stuff about the Suns lack of championships I already know.

+1 Kobe is the truth. Not quite MJ yet, but he is the most dangerous clutch player in the NBA right now. LeBron is more athletic and has better numbers across the board, but when you NEED to score, give the ball to Kobe.

Well which is it? It seems how well the Lakers perform is a direct result of the players Kobe has on his team. He doesnt do anything great with bad teams and he doesnt do anything great with good teams (unless you think taking seven games to defeat that dilapitated Houston team "great").

Again, you could replace with a dozen superstars in this league and the Lakers would still be able to beat Utah, Houston, Denver and Orlando with no problem. Probably even a bit easier considering most other superstars are more concerned with winning as opposed to their public perception.
