I hope we get to see him back. It was the general consensus of this board that Bowen should have been playing more this past postseason...if he's not back, he will most definitely be missed.
He'll be back to get his 4th

Regardless of what happens going forward, Bruce is and always will be one of my favorite Spurs.
It was also an honor to have Oberto and Thomas on the team.
For some reason I don't think his Spurs days are over just yet.
I remember reading his name on the roster in the 01-02 season thinking "who the is Bruce Bowen?"
Didn't take long to find out. If he's gone for good, thanks for the memories.
My favorite player on the Spurs. I hope you're right.
Hope to see Bruce back here.
Bruce has great character, is a hard worker, an excellent role model, and one of the best defenders I have ever had the privilege of watching play basketball.
Great guy!
Bruce is family, this hurts bad.
The Bucks will almost certainly cut him, since this was a financial deal from their end. I would be very surprised if he isn't back in a month.
I REALLY HOPE BOWEN COMES BACK AND EVERYBODY'S RIGHT! (about Bowen coming back)
THANK YOU BRUCE!
One of the best defensive perimeter players ever.
We'll miss you.
Good luck!
Jag, I love your sig.
Bowen resigning with the spurs would officially make me
Jefferson for two role playing Cs, AND you get to cut down on great RP's salary. lol the luxury tax
bruce bowen, my favorite spur, thank you.
i cant recall another perimeter defensive player (been watching since 93) where their averages (and fg%) fell as much as did as when bruce bowen was guarding them. maybe scottie pippen?
my personal favorite moments of bruce came in the 2005 drive to the championship. it was so fun to watch ray and bruce go at it in the 2nd round. i still remember when collison tried setting a screen for ray and bruce swam right through it, and ray attempted what would have been the winning shot but bruce defended it. you see bruce telling something to ray, then ray turns around and is clearly lipping "f*** you"
then in the conference finals, he holds joe johnson and shawn marion way below their averages
the back and forth between bruce and rip hamilton in the nba finals was classic, and one that i'll never forget. the 2005 nba finals was played between two great teams and coaches and is a model for how it ought to be every season
we all hope your coming back bruce!!!
Come back to us Bruce! ----Shawn will also miss the towel on his head before the games.
I agree with the above that Bowen will probably be back and Fabricio may also be back assuming they get waived by the Bucks.
I really hope he comes back like everyone else, but even if he doesn't the trade was worth it. It's just sad to see such a great person leaving the team, let alone one that is such a great compe or.
A little off topic: I still think the reason Bowen was traded (and lost minutes last season) had a lot to do with frustrations caused by the way the refs shackled Bowen from playing defense.
Bruce better be coming back
bruce is old. good luck to him.
I sure hope Bruce is coming back. If not, thanks for all the dedication and strong effort in helping create a solid defensive team.
Come back, Bruce!
