We will have more funny fishing pictures of Shaq and LeBron if they get eliminated from the playoffs come next season.
If Shaq can stay healthy and not have too much of a drop off I think the Cavs are easily a favorite to go all the way next year. But thats a big if.

The best pre-game and post-game antics too. Unless the coaches put a stop too it.
Coz people never sat off Wallace.
no one will ever tell Lebron to stop. not his coach and not the NBA. he is the king. they fear him.![]()
Props to the Cavs...this is the best one-year investment they possibly could've made. They are undoubtedly the favorites to win it all next year. Like other people have said, it'll be funny if and when LBJ wins the le next year, being that he couldn't win w/o Shaq:
Man your sig is so dam hot.![]()
F' Kerr...helping out his boy Danny Ferry
Word on the Street is the Cavs will be signing Rasheed in a week.
Whether Shaq is old and slow or not, they got him for a guy who is slower and a guy who sits on the bench.
Cleveland still isn't going to win the NBA le with or without Shaq. After Lesuck was being a baby when Orlando punked them last month in the Eastern Finals, I hope the Cavs never win as long as James is on that team.
I like how Charlie Villenueva is openly campaigning to come to Cleveland. From His twitter
CV31well, twitterland like I said there will be more trades to come, very interesting, Shaq to Cleveland, nice, all Cleveland need is a PF now
This move was probably requested by Lecrab himself. And Ferry is all too happy to deliver considering 2010 is looming. Bad move, IMHO.
How is this a bad move? explain it to me.
They traded SASHA PAVLOVIC and BEN WALLACE for 18 points and 8 Rebounds, and doesn't limit them for going after Charlie Villeneauva or Rasheed Wallace. Look who they gave up, how is it a bad move? Everyone is expecting them to trade for someone like Bosh, but the Raptors aren't trading him. Their best shot at another star is next summer via free agency, and Shaq doesn't cut into those plans. Explain to me why it's a bad move
It is very risky I agree, but I doubt any team with Lebron will be in the lottery. Even if it was Lebron and 4 monkeys they'd still make the playoffs Lol...
if the Cavs were to be a lottery team it was 2007 when they were starting Sasha, Larry Hughes and Daniel Gibson at times in the playoffs. Not only did they make the playoffs, but they won the EC. No team with Lebron will be a lottery team unless he gets hurt.
One of two things will happen this year... The Cavs will make the Finals, or Mike Brown will be fired.
, I guess both could happen.
Shaq is making $20 million for basically an unknown. Will he play all season? Will he be motivated to give his all? Those are always big questions with the big fella. He actually did do that last season, yet the Suns missed the playoffs.
He can still be effective against some teams, but I don't think he can still dominate like in the past. There's a good share of bigs that can be had for cheaper this offseason (Sheed, Dice). I agree that jettisoning Ben Wallace was a good move, I just don't think Shaq will have the impact basketball-wise that people expect from him.
Ben Wallace was making the same and he offers basically nothing. Wouldn't you agree that $20,000,000 is better off going to Shaq than to Ben Wallace and a guy that doesn't play? That's the trade.
I think a better trade would have been to get at least Dice + another wing better than Wally out of it. And with $20 million I'm fairly sure you could have pulled it off...
That said, it's a gamble. It's all on Shaq now.
it's easier to get an impact SG in the draft than it is to get an established center who can guard Dwight Howard. The Cavs aren't done making moves. They will draft a wingman tonight, they can't draft a Hall of Fame center. Courtney Lee is a prime example of what you can get in the draft
Anyone who thinks this is a bad trade for Cleveland has some serious issues. Congrats on the trade Thunder Dan.
Mike Brown is still the problem in Cleveland. Even with Shaq I don't think they can win it all.
As for Phoenix...I can't think of a single good move Kerr has made since taking over. Stoudemire will probably be traded for a 2nd round pick today.
