Battier and AAron Brooks for the #2 overall pick.

Another Houston rumor has TMac, Landry and Brooks to PHX for Amare and Barbosa

To get who? I don't like that trade either, Brooks could turn into a boderline all-star in a short period of time and Battier is the guy you always need in a championship team.

I'd say this makes the resigning of Gortat more likely, since they are losing the height of Battie and probably now Hedo too.

Yeah, Gortat IMO wasn't a great fit, and I thought he would go back.

This trade seals him going back.

Hedo better hope other teams have big salary room to sign him...

Strange....but the Carter deal doesn't work on the espn trade machine.... there seems to be a pretty good gap in the salaries involved.

In fact it's two separates trade.

    1) Carter for Battie+Lee+Alston
    2) Ryan Anderson for a TE

If the rumors about the Nets having an inside track to Lebron are true, this trade is great for them. They now have very good young players in Harris, Lee, and Lopez, and have trimmed lots of space away from their cap. Either way it's a good move for them-- they weren't going to challenge too much in the East anyway, and this sets up their future and makes Brooklyn an appealing option for the 2010 free agent crop.

This is cool because it looked like Carter might get shipped to Dallas. Did not want to see him there.

How is this bad deal VC is not Air Canda anymore but Kobe doesnt have the same lift anymore either ...they key is tha VC has to not just get be3 happy in that offense ...he must drive as well if he does and he is motivated on defense he is a better "scorer" if not playmaker than Hedo ...i dont see how they keep Turk and even if they did it would be a poor fit. I would let hedo go ...start Pietrus and draft or sign a good 6th man Im not saing I wouldnt of just kept hedo ...but now that teh deal is done get another defender to go with Pietrus ...

He is redundant there but where does he go? i tinkhe needs to on a run n gun system I think he would be a great fit in NO ...he could give the Hornets what Pejais not ...but I doubt the Hornets would spend ...Marion wouldnt be a bad fit there either becaus ehe can run and play defense but

Super good trade but I expect more moves, the SPurs' deal for Jefferson is going to have people making all kinds of moves. Hopefully they will go ahead and make the push for these last 2 or 3 years of the Duncan era like they seem to be, cause teams are going to be making moves all over the place this summer to save money and compete for the championship.

Ridiculously overpaid 33 years old ballhogger
    cheap Talented young guy

    hmmmmmmmmm

When everybody starts talking about Harris and Lee as a great guard duo for the Net's future I'll bump this thread. When Lee wins MIP I'll also bump this thread. And when he gets to the all-star game I won't bump this thread 'cause it won't be necessary.

And I don't even want to think about the idiot that will have to pay around 20 million dollars for a 35 years old guy averaging 10 points per game.
The magic just got worst. I hope no one thinks otherwise. Ballhog and injury prone

Somehow Vince Carter after being so durable for the past few seasons and managed to share the ball with Devin Harris who probably has the highest usage percentage is a ballhog and is injury prone.

Until Howard gets more versatile offensively the Magic won't win a Championship. The Lakers exposed Howard and the Magic.

Magic's GM is a dumbass, I wouldn't have even trade Lee for Carter straight up.
