How is this NBA related? Also if the XBOX won't turn on then perhaps you need to send it in for repairs. Or just buy a new one for $199.99.

but i just got it, its new, i was watching a movie on the xbox, then after the movie i put the xbox back in my room and it wouldnt start up

Damn that sucks. Does the XBOX have a falcon chip inside? what is the watt # on the power bar? If it doesn't work just take it back and get your money back.

unhook all the cables...wait a few minutes...hook everything back in...attempt to turn on the XBOX. If nothing works..maybe you can call a friend to use their power bar adapter?

There should be a tiny little hole under the CD tray. Grab a paperclip, stick it in the hole and gently push. The tray should unlock and open enough for you to pull it open and grab the movie.

If it's orange that means it's on standby, if it doesn't turn on then it's ed.

Then the AC adapter should be ok. Make sure its properly plugged on the back of the xbox and try to turn it on, either from the from of the xbox or from a controller. The orange light on the AC adaptor should turn green when the console is on.
