Having them on the same team on the same floor at the same time... Hmmm... Could it work?
meh....Sheed and Duncan >>>> Scola and Gortat
But yeah...it could work.
What do Sheed and Duncan have to do with this article? Duh?
I am for Sheed and Duncan, but that is irrelavent. I am just curious as to the inevitable conclusion of this signing should it happen. I didn't see that coming. I would have thought Gortat would have gone 1st to San Antonio, as he would be the perfect compliment to Timmay, short of Rasheed.
Sheed might go to Boston, or Orlando... that story isn't over...
That's why I said yeah..it could definitely work. It would change their style a bit, being that they'd go from an offensive big last year (Yao) to a defensive big this year (Gortat), but it could work..they'd have to find offense somewhere else, though.
yeah, Scola and ____(insert random player) could work
Scola isn't Duncan (Duh) therefore, Scola and wouldn't necessarily work. I am not sure Yao and Scola worked, but Yao was the featured big. Gortat would effectively make Scola the featured big.
Damn ive never seen a player get overrated in a shorter span of time than Gortat. Some team is going to offer him a Diop like contract and I hope to it isnt the Mavs
Gortat isn't overrated. He is solid. That is why I want him on the Spurs. I think he would be a nice runner-up prize after loosing out on Scola.
I agree here. Gortat has "player that had a great playoff performance in a contract year which leads to being given a maxed out MLE he isn't worth" written all over him.
Gortat ate Pau up on the defensive end, but couldn't finish for on the offensive end.
If we involved Yao in a trade with marc gasol/mayo like i proposed last year we would be the right now. It was a very realistic possibility then and memphis would laugh at us now.
