Ironically, town hall meetings have been perverted most recently by lobbyist groups into not even representing what they should; which is, the people's voice. Instead, they are vehicles for distortion and the loudest, shouting, disruptive wins.
So, I think the same thing would happen: the average, or even educated fan, would be drowned out by the whining Bowenlovers, the pophaters, the fringe crazies that are so blinded by their narrow view that they would just argue and yell and make a mess of things.
Even if the discussion were more civil that imagined, I doubt it would get further than the "loyalty" discussion (if you can call it that), which proves my point.
