Where as in the past they had capable defenders in Bell, Marion, Kurt Thomas and even Diaw, this years Suns squad has one decent defender and he's going to be 37.
Opposing teams will have a field day on the boards with Amare Stoudemire and Channing Frye as the starting front court. They'll also get burned in transition with Jason Richardson at the 2.

In the last year, Nash has made just as many public comments as Amare has, if not more.
I'm not saying Amare's constant public statements are ok, I don't like them at all.
But if Nash is allowed to publicly talk about going to New York as much as he has in the last year, publicly vent about how playing with some teammates sucks, and publicly demand a raise after leading a team to the lottery, then Amare should be allowed to say his team is a threat.
