38-31 Houston........... because its in H-town.
Since I've exhausted myself talking with horn fans, I now need to focus elsewhere..
Shootout as expected?
If Tech wins, why wouldnt they be considered top 25? If Houston wins over a really good Tech team(as seen in last weeks game against UT), how high could they jump?
38-31 Houston........... because its in H-town.
For Tech fans new to going to Houston games, THEY SERVE BEER! I know a while back UH was one of the very few wet campuses.

Don’t question the schedule
For those who doubted Tech’s nonconference schedule, saying it was a cupcake list of football teams, Leach’s rebuttle highlighted that Rice and Houston were both bowl teams last season.
Now Houston is No. 17 in the nation and has already knocked off a top-5 team in Oklahoma State.
And Tech has to play at Houston no less.
“I think those people that say things like that are stupid people,” he said. “Sometimes stupid people have big mouths and lots of friends, and I think you just have to consider it in the context that it’s offered. Then I think that, I mean take an objective view of other people’s nonconference schedules and ours stacks up very nicely.”
with former Tech assistant Dana Holgorsen running the offense, Houston is a ripoff of the Red Raiders, only with lesser talent.
Tech's D is more than used to seeing the spread offense in practice.....Tech 49 Houston 22...
..cant believe Houston is favored by 1.......I'm gonna go lay a C note on the Raiders. Easy money.
I say this game is a toss up. Houston can put up points. Lots of unknowns. We really don't know if Texas is just really bad compared to expectations or Tech was surprisingly good. If its super oneside to Tech, I guess it's a silver lining for horn fans, if its close Houston wins, if Houston dominates then horns better hope Scott comes back and the OL stops playing like pussies.
Should be a fantastic game, but I think that Houston is lacking in experience. Yeah they won the big game. Yeah they upset a top ten team. Yeah they have a great QB. Yeah they have this and that. But one win does not put you anywhere after decades of getting dominated.
Houston looks much better than they have, but Tech has beaten top ten teams recently....
Cows #1 / last year
Okie State - cant remeber if they were top ten, but they were close at the time / last year
Oklahoma #5 / 2 years ago
Claifornia #3 / Four years ago
They've beaten many top 25 teams.....
Just saying that big game experience is something to think about
I really am wishing for the best.
The horns play houston also?
tech will probably be 19 or 20 after the win
All good points but like u said "lack of experience."
Not for the forseeable future.
this one is a toss up i think. i think tech squeaks out the win but i'll pull for the cougars. it would be nice to see u of h back in the football scene after such a long hiatus.
A little history about the two schools. This is where UH > TT. With that said, Big 12 is the Big 12 and I rather be in TT's shoes. Cheers.

actually, u of h was back then what tech is kind of like now.
Actually Tech hasnt done now 'cept share of Big 12 South. Neither have we cept a few bowl games and CUSA le. still nothing special![]()
what i mean is that like the u of h of the late 80's and early 90's, tech runs a spread offense and produces qb's that put up much better numbers that are not true indicators of their talents. u of h was probably a better running team back then and had better speed though.
Got Ya. Tech is definitely the better football program since the SWC split/Big 12 Formation. More Money = Better Potential.
I say UH wins by 6.
good point
Likewise Houston practices against the Spread too.
If I remember, Okie State was favored by 16 and lost by 10
Houston leads the nation in total offense and scoring:

Tech imo has the better defense. Tech may very well win but Houston has a great chance.
that way of thinking works both ways man, sports spreads are such a toss up
90s uh had better rbs and defense. Tech has had better receivers and a better head coach
true. so do rankings. It is like what took place of the field of play doesnt matter. If it did UH would be ranked over Okie State.
yeah, that's very accurate.
personally, as a neutral observer i want to see a barn burner. a nice 49-45 type game.
vegas seems to think they have a great chance too. I just dont see it. and it was nice of you to leave off all the awards tech players have received. idiot.![]()
