Yes.
Midway through the 4th,Texas said. " this, we are just going to lineup and take this from you guys, and you are NOT going to stop us you pansy ass, overrated Hollywood team." And took the game from Leinart, Bush and company. Not to mention USC had home field advantange an two supposed "heismen" winners on their team.
That was the sweetest victory in NCAA history, and Texas took it, beat that ass down in the 4th.

You must have missed the part where I said the fact that it was just as ignorant for me to say that as it was to say UT would be scared to play USC. But if you want me to go there, I can. It could have gone either way in the Rose Bowl, but it didn't...Texas won. And if you think that was lucky, that's just ignorant. You allowed a guy who had already gotten over 200 yards rushing to run another 9 yards on 4th down to win the game. There was no luck to it. Vince Young was one of the greatest players in NCAA history...and he was cementing his legacy. Yes, USC won the first 4 in the series...but Texas won the last one. My whole point is this..neither team would be "scared" to play the other, and to even say they would is in stupid.
I couldn't agree with that part more. They took that game from USC...period...they were not going to allow USC to beat them.
we gave it to t.u...the game could have easily been over long before the 4th. and should have.
how is USC hesitant when they are the ones trying to schedule it?
Big 12 fans calling the Pac 10 a ty conference are hilarious. The Pac 10 is better than the Big 12 this year.
JGW, it doesn't say that USC is knocking down Texas' door to play them. It says that they're merely an option while looking for a "marquee BSC opponent." Even if they genuinely wanted to schedule Texas, it doesn't mean that they still wouldn't be hesitant to do so. Plus, Texas already has a home-and-home with Cal and UCLA. It would have to be after 2016.
Doubtful. The Pac-10 is pretty weak after Oregon and USC. Even with all of the key players the Big XII is missing due to injuries (especially the good teams), it's a toss up. It's too early to say who's the real deal anyway.
Yeah..I'm sure Reggie, Matt, and LenDale all sat back on the sidelines, huddled up and said "You know what guys..we've won a couple championships already..let's give this one to Texas..they've earned it." that...we took the ball down the field and punched them in the face, and punched it into the endzone. Vince owned them on that drive like he had owned them the rest of the game. If you think Texas didn't take that game, you must have completely forgotten about it.
nobody beats Ohio State' OOC matchups
2010/11 Miami (FLA)
2012/13 Cal
2013/14 Virginia Tech
2015/16 Oklahoma
2017/18 Tennessee
not to mention Texas and USC the past couple years. Now that is how you schedule OOC games.
Except that they were 1-4 playing against Texas and USC in those regular season games. If you can't the Bowl game, that's 1-5. I can't remember if USC and Ohio State played a bowl game so it could be worse.
Arkansas dropped out of the matchup, hence the Wyoming game. But if you want to pin that on UT, go ahead.
i agree, but USC is up there if not at the top.
yeah..I forgot about that...
