Anyone know why Manu and RJ are so off? Since none of can atcually see the game, I guess we'll have to wait for some game thoughts.

No.. the problem is that when they miss them, we normally end up down 10-15 points... It was nice to see a stretch where we missed 5 shots and stay down 3 only...
    That's because Bonner/Finley defense+intangibles=negligible

Oh, and hearing the Superman theme after Dwight just dunked the ball was sickening. Christopher Reeves is turning in his grave right about now.

It's the preseason? RJ had a couple of good outings already... Manu's just out of shape...

I'd be much more willing to buy into that POV if someone actually proved that it was true. Especially in Bonner's case. Given his +/- numbers last year, I doubt you could establish any significant correlation that would support that view. I certainly haven't seen anyone try. Usually I see the topic changed to the Dallas series when I ask for actual proof.

Would telling you that our Opponent FG% was the highest in many seasons require any further proof?

+/- deals a lot with who you're on the floor with, Bonner plays with the Big 3 more than almost anyone.

And +/- is a trivial stat... just look at the game right now...

Duncan has 7 pts and 8 rebounds and is -2
Mason has 3 pts and 2 rebounds and is +1

Good to see McDyess playing well... not sure about the pace of the game though, too many shots.

Bad pass from Mason -- go figure -- leads to easy 2 for Watson.

That's the whole team. Do you have numbers that show that they were worse with Finley and Bonner on the court than the other options? And, if so, to what extent were they offset by any increase in offensive production?

To be quite clear. I have never tried to make a case for Bonner over any better options available. Just over lesser options. This year that would include Ian and Haislip. Since Ratliff can't play extended minutes, Bonner will play more than Theo by default.
