Looks like the 4th quarter was crazy - NJ only scored 10 points.
New Jersey Nets 66 - Dallas Mavericks 89

FYI - Martell is the real deal. This kid can shoot lights out! Jarret Jack sprained his ankle and will miss a few games as will Sergei Monya who is having visa problems. When we have all of these guys we will destroy the rest of the summer league.
In the first game today, Antoine Wright and Devin Harris sucked. In the second game, Travis Outlaw had 32 points on 17 shots. Martell Webster had a good game too. For the Knicks, Nate "Shoulda Been A Spur" Robinson had a good game.

Jamal Sampson had a very productive 13 minutes in his game:
5pts, 5reb, 3blk
I'll be pissed if he gets a guaranteed deal before the RMR.
Group trip to vegas? haha.
please post the spurs rocky mountain roster!!!!!!!
I was really suprised to see Tyus Edney is still on a roster. It's been years since I heard that name.
He's had quite a good career in Europe.
Blazers beat Warriors 90-74! WoooHooo! Telfair had 23 points and 10 assists. Outlaw had 18 points and Webster had 15 points. I TOLD you we would kick ass in summer league! 2 and 0 BABY!
Congratulations. Maybe under McMillan, Telfair and Outlaw will be able to get more than 19 and 13 min./game respectively.
Sometimes, you've got to carpe diem with positive news...no matter how minor the stage.![]()
excited about summer league wins.
How the mighty have fallen.....
We've got the youngest team in the league now. We'll take our lumps, but we'll be damn good in a couple of years.

The youth movement for the Portland Trail Blazers is looking very bright, as they cruised past the Golden State Warriors, 90-74. The young and athletic Blazers displayed quickness, smarts, hustle and looked as if they have been playing together for years.
Sebastian Telfair looked like a veteran point guard as he led the charge for the Blazers, scoring 23 points (6-12 FG) and dishing out 10 assists. Telfair had 16 points (4-8 FG, 8-8 FT) at halftime.
Telfair nearly missed a triple-double in the Blazers first summer league game, finishing with 18 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.
Travis Outlaw pitched in 18 points (7-19 FG), 12 rebounds and three blocks for the Blazers, while rookie Martell Webster had 15 points (5-10 FG). The Blazers finished the game shooting 51 percent (33-65 FG). They also outscored the Warriors 46-28 in the paint and 22-11 in points off turnovers.
The Blazers used a 34-17 third quarter to take the lead, as they shot 67 percent (14-21 FG) in the quarter.
Ike Diogu led the Warriors attack with 16 points (5-10 FG) and eight rebounds. Monta Ellis had 15 points and six rebounds, but hit only four or his 16 shots. Golden State finished the game shooting 47 percent (25-66 FG).
Golden State took a four point lead into halftime, 43-39. The Warriors shot 47 percent for the half, while Portland shot 44 percent (12-27 FG). The Warriors had a 16-10 advantage in the paint and out-rebounded the Blazers by four (43-39) at the break.
The Warriors take on the Cleveland Cavaliers tomorrow night at 8 p.m., while the Blazers battle the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday at 5 p.m.
The Prison rec league don't count.but we'll be damn good in a couple of years.
