Smith is making good reads and getting through his progressions well. Be interesting to see who he likes to throw to...

Never mind, I just jinxed him.

Bob Sanders at 50% is better than almost any other DB at 110%

    Dammit!

Is it my imagination, or is Manning overshooting this game?

it's fun listening/watching Peyton and his antics at the line.

All week the niners have been talking about how Manning always (or most of the time) snaps the ball at around the same time in the play clock. They're going to try to move around and disguise their defense until he's about to snap it, and then get into their formation in order to try to confuse Peyton a bit.

Look for the Niners to blitz a lot all day too

Great, now that Smith threw an int, Jimmy Raye (niner OC) isn't going to throw it as much

He may snap the ball at the same time, but the real confusion for other teams comes with his play call.
He goes out with 3 options, reads the defense, and then changes his calls. He does this all the time.

I know, it's been a major focus for the niners. They're trying to flip the script on him and not pay attention to his histrionics and instead make him worry about them. Doing a good job so far.

I'm a big Peyton fan. He's the best in football, IMHO

Jimmy Raye pisses me off sometimes. When you run up the middle on 2/20, you're giving up on the series

Niner punter is saving them so far.

Defense really came to play, but you just can't keep going 3/out and expect Manning and co not to break it open at some point.

You know what sucks? Me having to watch the Raider game this afternoon since they're on the road so it won't be blacked out...Otherwise I'd be watching the Viking/Pack game...yuck

Niners are playing well in the secondary... Not letting Peyton get much over the top.

    Sweet, a sack!!

Props to the Colt line for only giving up 3 all year. Says a lot about Peyton getting the ball out as well

Obviously, we get the other games blacked out here as well.
Yes, I'd watch the Colts anyway, BUT...it would at least, be nice to be able to flip back and forth and keep an eye on other games.

it's worse here in the Bay area because there are two teams. The Raiders get blacked out at home cuz they never sell out, so if they were playing the Chargers at home then I would see the Packers game. Niners always sell out, so their games are always on.(which is great, of course) NFL makes sure the two teams play at different times. (raiders are the late game today)

I'll just find a stream to watch the Vikes/Pack game
