Grizzlies center Thabeet breaks jaw
Memphis Grizzlies rookie center Hasheem Thabeet, the second overall pick in the June draft, left Tuesday night’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers with a broken jaw.
The 7-foot-3 center from UConn was injured late in the first quarter during a battle under the Memphis basket. Replays appeared to show Thabeet’s jaw colliding with forward Zach Randolph’s head.
Thabeet had just entered the game a minute earlier.
Thabeet was playing in his seventh game of the season. He had scored four points and grabbed 11 rebounds in his previous six games, and also recorded six blocks.

Butterfly effect.
Blair did some stretching in San Antonio and Thabeet got hurt in Memphis.
As far as BJ stories go, it could have been much worse...
especially for Randolph
I wish it was Randolph's head that would be busted open instead.
He's played like 6 games, settle down cowboy.
i don't think the kid will survive over 5 nba seasons
True dat
the video in question
Around 0:25. I bet that hurt.
Remember when A.C. Green peeked in over J.R. Reid's shoulder on a center court jump ball and Reid broke his jaw? Green had that long ass streak of games played so he had it wired shut, started the next game and at the first TO came back out. He took some for doing that.
You can see the replay along with Brad Miller's non-buzzer beater here.
Bonus tatas too

Well, that's one thing Zach Randolph's head is useful for.
Blair came in and broke his jaw, ninja style.
