Im not pleased with this coaching change, nuff said. Im gunna miss Byron sooo much, I love him man. He was the first coach I had, I love coach. He taught me that I have to hold the ball 96% of the game, to whine when things aren't going my way, to fall when Im touched, and to bark at anyone who makes me mad. Man, he taught me soo much. I love you Bryon Scott!!

Scott is the type of coach that can take a team full of veterans and win. He's not the type of coach that can develop young players and build them over time. He was decent at best here mainly thanks to Chris Paul falling in his lap, but he failed miserably at developing any of our younger players. Once guys like Peja, Mo Pete, Posey, etc. started to go downhill, so did he because none of our younger guys were given a fair chance to develop.
    Agreed.

Scott gave up on Stephen Jackson (while coaching the Nets) and J.R. Smith, among others. He also failed to develop Julian Wright and Hilton Armstrong. I fully understand the pressure young head coaches are under to WIN NOW. That pressure and those expectations come from fans, media and ownership. Still, you can't simply build a team around ALL veterans. It doesn't make sense talentwise or financially. Besides older players get hurt more too. Young players do make mistakes, but the right ones with the appropriate work ethic can energize a rosters and fill in some gaps - if developed.

Scott is certainly at fault for never developing a backup PG behind Paul or for the young players they let get away. However, the GM (Bower) is responsible for the overly-inflated contracts to Peja, Posey and others. Now, he gets the pleasure of coaching them.

I think West should just shut up and play better as should the whole team. I don't think Scott is a bad coach, but irregardless of how good or bad he is it's obvious he had lost the team and his best player and that can't happen and changing the coach is probably the Hornets best option. Fair or unfair to Scott, he can't lead if no one is going to follow.

Stick a fork in them. They are done. Down 43-56 to Portland in the 3rd quarter. If they lose they will be 3-7 and things could only get worse. CP3 is gone when he is a free agent and David West will look average when that happens.
