The ultimate question of who is the better quarterback of the decade. Isn't a question at all, ironically. The goal in football is to win ever game you play, yes. but the ultimate goal in football is to win the last game of the season, the super bowl.

Dan Marino, Jim Kelly, and Donovan McNabb some great qb's no doubt, but after the generation that grew up watching them is dead people will be asking, who the were they? History doesn't remember the ones who don't win a SB, and history don't remember the ones who only win 1.

Their is no full proof way to accurately see who is better, thats why the god damn game was invented! stats and all that other bull don't mean . their careers are pretty much identical, the only difference is Brady has won more super bowls, and by definition of the game, he is in fact better for that!

And for everyone who says that brady has a better team and this and that, paytons has been around for something like 10 season and ur telling me his coaches cant get him anything to work with in 10 years, please. And further more didnt manning just win, if winning is a team effort then their team just won and the first rule of football is any team and win any game at any time, thats what makes it such a great game!

stats; passing yards, completions, and touchdown passes do not can can not make 1 qb better then another. cause that's not what the game is about!!!!! It is about in the end despite all the other , who can pull of a win in the end!

oo! i threw for 6000 yards but he threw for 7000, who the CARES!!!!! it does not matter. but who has that ring on his damn finger at the end of the season he is the champion, he won despite all odds. HE WINS, not the bastered who can throw the most td's in a year but loses in the divisional round. And he who is champion the most and the longest is the better. the definition of a champion - One that is clearly superior, Holding first place. now by that definition the one who is not the champion who hasn't accomplished that more then the next man. Can not by that definition be better then him.

Anyone catch Andrea Mitc 's pregame segment with the poll of hall-o-famer QB's regarding this question? It was overwhelmingly for Manning.

It wasn't a poll of average americans, it was a poll Hall of Fame NFL Quarterbacks (Montana, Staubach, Marino, Elway, Young, Aikman, etc.)

I wouldn't go so far as to say they're smarter than the average american, but they sure do know a ton more about quarterbacking in the NFL than the average american.

Trent Dilfering his way to 3 SB should've gotten him more votes.

typical beefanus post, talking about "wins and rings!!!" when those are team accomplishments

Manning is the best QB of all time. no great all-time QB has been relied on to win games for the team as much as the Colts rely on Manning. year after year, they give him a crappy running game, crappy defense, and average receivers. yet he keeps leading the team to 12+ win seasons. Manning cannot consistently rely on either the defense or run game to help him out and win games for the team. yeah, it happens from time to time, but generally, if Manning has a bad day, the team has a bad day, whereas a team like the Pats, if Brady has a bad day, they can still win the game because the defense can pick up. Thats why the team of the decade is the Patriots, no question about it. But the QB of the decade, and IMO all-time, is Manning.

40 GW drives led by Manning since he came into the league. shut the up.

and if manning who according to you is so incapable of pulling off a win in the end, then why did bellichick (who is one of the greatest coaches ever) opt to go for it on 4th and 2 in his own territory?

because he didnt want the ball in peyton ing mannings hands.

Manning is pretty amazing now that he's gotten over his playoff jinxes. Brady is still an all-time great though. It wasn't his fault that the pats d couldn't get off the field, or in the gints sb for that matter.
