It seems like fans of other teams who've been here a while can get their colours, but how the black is handed out to Spurs fans is a mystery. Obviously regular contributors over many years, and those who have helped the site get their black, but beyond that I have no idea of the criteria. I think LJ has a secret algorithm that he applies when the servers go down...

The names get colored at timvp's convenience once a year or so. It's not an on-demand feature.
