I think he is a decent role player. Was still shocked by his stat line. E ially the +26 (highest on team by far)

He is perfect off the bench - instant offence as you say, hustle, and his energetic but inept D isn't nearly as exposed against benchers.
Love the Red Rocket as a pine man, hate him as a starter.
When defenses gear up for the spurs, staying on Bonner probably isn't high on their list.
Agreed, alot of people including Spurs fans diss him unfairly. Bonner cant play D, Bonner is getting lit up, etc...I mean this year he's guarded guys like West, Aldridge, Boozer, Okur, Bosh, Dirk what the are they expecting that he shut them down? Those are all-star caliber players that will put up their numbers regardless of who's guarding them especially when Pop doesnt double team. As for his PER, believe it or not he led the Spurs in that department last year and if Im not mistaken is leading them this year again. There comes a point where you stop looking at it as coincedence and start realizing that this dude does things out on the court to help the team win.
