great
ill be happy when they sign though
UT just landed a verbal pledge from S. Brown, a 6'2/175lbs cornerback, ranked as either the #1 or #2 CB recruit in Texas. The other CB that is ranked up with him, Beasley, is also coming to UT-so UT has the top two CB prospects in Texas locked up (they're also both ranked as some of the top CB recruits in the country). Those two should be the secondary of the future for us. At any rate Brown was drawing interest from Miami, ou, Michigan and other big time schools and decided on Texas. Probably helped that Chris Brown, a former UT secondary guy coaches at his HS, also that Cory Redding is from the same HS. So, the UT class for NEXT season is up to 22 commits. As it stands right now this could be the #1 recruiting class in the nation, already easily top five. If they land that M. Mustain kid out of Arkansas (most services have him ranked as the #1 QB prospect in the country) no way this class won't be ranked #1. Of course all the recruiting in the world doesn't matter if we can't handle ou in October.
Yeah, hope UT doesn't have any Perrillouxs this yr.
Who was that ag RB pledge that bailed verbally?
Any word on Roy Miller's injury? Was the ankle/foot? Last I read he was going to be good to go.
Also read on Orangebloods.com that the D players have bought into Chizik's No Nonsense type of agressive play.
Hey Mookie, I heard that BallCox wasn't fan!![]()
From what I've heard/read Miller is good to go and will probably see some PT at DT. Of course Dibbles and Rod start, but Okam and Miller should be in that rotation. As for RB, haven't heard anything on an ag RB that changed his commit, any specifics?
Also, keep hearing conflicting stories on M. Williams (DE) coming back this season, one minute he's good to go with his summer classes, the next he's in trouble. Heard any concrete info on him?
Read an article yesterday that Mike Williams definitely is goiing to a school where he can play w/o sitting out a yr.
I read it is most likely SFA.
obviously a joke man..i think he got it.ballcox is not a fan?
oh good i guess i didnt read it
if a ryan perriouloux emerges this season and if he s around i might have to take a baseball bat to houston, south oak cliff, dunbar, port arthur and take some kneeswings
Rocky Hinds
6-4 & apprx 220 w/a 40 at apprx 4.4(something?) is leaving USC?
Know anything about this?
^No dice, he decided to transfer to UNLV instead of coming to Texas, go figure.
Yeah.
read that a WR from Arlington(?) gave UT his verbal.
remember when tu had ryan perriouloux and tellus bennett committed?
And it appeared that Fred Rouse(among the nations top rated recievers) was coming. I don't blame Mack, he's done wonders for the program, but it was an onslaught of disappointment. I guess pile that on top of Rhett Bomar and Adrian Peterson going to (puke)Oklahoma, and his reputation as a recruiter took a hit. He definitely has made good so far on this class, not that last years wasn't good.
Recruiting has never been Mack Brown's problem.
