Bye Bye Texans, unless, of course, this guy can go into the Meadowlands and beat a Jets team that knows all they have to do is win

The Bengals have the 3rd seed to play for, so they do have something to play for.

Obviously I hope the Jets win, and if they do, please don't be as gay as the other people and blame the Jets instead of the Bengals for not playing their starters.
Thanks
First off Ill blame the Texans for not closing out games they should have. If they had they wouldnt be in this situation. Then ill blame the Colts and then the Bengals for being pussies.
Good stuff man
Houston has a team?
Too bad you folks weren't blessed enough to be Cowboys fans!!
Typical Texans. Give the fans just a sliver's hope at the playoffs, just to see the Bengals stink it up with their starters in. But not to worry - Kubiak will be back next year, and we can repeat the cycle once again.
We did what we had to do but thats what happens when you depend on other teams to get into the playoffs.
Yeah no ones fault but our own. Had we closed out one of these other games we wouldnt have to worry about anything right now.
No doubt. It just fits the Texans' MO - make their fans agonize one more game. Logically, I know the Texans are a few personnel additions away from legitimately competing, but I have little faith in Kubiak even if that happens. , it should have happened this year.
Also - 2:00 to go in the second quarter, and the Bengals have a total offensive output of 7 yards. Wow.
Yeah sucks cause Kubs has no balls but looks like he will be back next year. I like what Bush has done with the def. It will be an interesting offseason thats for sure. Could be worse we could have finished 8-8 again and the way the team cant close out games we dont belong in the playoffs.
They played well today and I like that they didn't give up after being down by 14 but they the bed way too much this season. They never played with the intensity needed and that comes from the coach. It will be interesting to see what the offseason brings. I still don't think Kubiak coming back in 100%. His coaching did cost the team the playoffs even if they did come back to finish the season with a 4 game win streak. Shanny and Cower have been reported to be interested in the gig if it opens up. I'm sure McNair will look at the options and go from there. But 9-7 isn't bad for the youngest team in the league.
Yeah hopefully our young team learned a lot this season and gained some experience.
Its ok Texans fans... atleast you're only 1-1 vs the Cowboys in the last 8 years. WOOHOOOO!!!!

Bob McNair has confirmed Kubes will be back already. I want to be optimistic, it's just hard when it seems like this team's purpose is to repeatedly punch me in the stomach![]()
We also have just as many playoff wins.
Well son of a ....
Here's the story -
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/...t/6796978.html
It did not take long for owner Bob McNair to evaluate the job coach Gary Kubiak did this season.
McNair said last month he would wait to evaluate Kubiak after the season. A few minutes after the Texans' 34-27 victory over the New England Patriots at Reliant Stadium, McNair said Kubiak would return for the fifth and final year of his contract.
There is a chance Kubiak will get an extension. That decision will be made later this month.
"Gary's my coach," McNair said after the Texans rallied to defeat the Patriots and finish 9-7 for their first winning record. "I know there was speculation that he might not be (back in 2010), but he will be. He'll definitely be back. I don't see any reason why he wouldn't be."
Kubiak wasn't surprised because he'd gotten no indication from McNair that his job was in jeopardy, but he was still appreciative.
"That means a lot to me," Kubiak said. "It shows me that Bob believes we're headed in the right direction. He's great to work for. He's always positive, supportive and very thorough.
"I'm glad we won this game and finished with a winning record. That's for him and everyone in the organization."
McNair said last month that he didn't want to make a change because change was disruptive. He also said he thought the Texans had a better chance of being real good in 2010 with Kubiak than a new coach.
"Look at the conditions he coached under, especially all the injuries," McNair said. "I like Gary for a lot of reasons. He's got a great offensive mind. He has a great sense of how to push players and when to back off. He also doesn't play favorites. He treats players the same, and they respect him for it."
Kubiak has one year left on the five-year, $10 million contract he signed with the Texans to replace Dom Capers in 2006. His teams have finished 6-10, 8-8, 8-8 and now 9-7.
But zero playoff appearences. At least the Cowpatties can get there.
I find their inferiority complexes all the more amusing.
Holy its 24-30 Cincy's making a crazy comeback![]()
