    Rich Gannon era?
2000-2004. That's when I became a die-hard fan, brah. Those were great teams always a couple of breaks away from possibly winning a super bowl.

    Minus 2004. That team sucked.

    Montana > Eli > Brady
    fixed

in terms of post-season success yeah sure, montana is up there. problem is, super bowl victories in the NFL area a team accomplishment. this isn't the NBA where there are only 5 guys on the court and they play offense AND defense.

so, in terms of greatest qb

    it's

    Marino > all

i agree completely. championships are team accomplishments, PERIOD, but even more so applies to football. championships should not be the sole thing that individuals are judged by. too many morons dont realize that.

now this, i dont agree with

This debate is not even close to being done untill both Manning and Brady's careers are done. Montana played with better teams than either Manning or Brady. In an era with NO free agency. So its really hard to compare QBs in different eras. But they are all studs.

    Peyton Manning still

say what you want, that pick was not his fault last night, even Wayne admitted it. it was a timed curl route that wayne ran as piss poorly as possible (maybe his injury was worse than we thought because he was a complete non-factor all game)

Wayne also dropped like 2 or 3 balls, one big one at the end of the game where the Colts could have gotten first and goal.

maybe the mafia got to him LOL

Garcon dropped a couple ones that he should have caught too. But I guess that's Peyton's fault in the minds of the haters.

  18. #43
There's no specific person to blame that game on. Peyton ed up, but lets say Garcon catches that wide open 3rd down drop and that turns into a drive that puts the Colts up 17-3, do the Saints recover from that? If the Colts recover that onside kick and then score, they go up 17-6, do the Saints recover from that? A LOT of football was played prior to Peyton's interception. IMO Peyton didn't do what his team needed him to do to win, but neither did Wayne, Garcon or anyone in the Colts' secondary.

More than anything the Saints deserve credit. Their defensive game plan couldn't have been much better. They had a good mix of blitzes and dropping into coverage, had several players step up and make big plays on D, and their offense did a good job keeping Peyton off the field so he couldn't get in a rhythm after the 1st quarter.

That play was a TD. If Garcon catches it. There is nothing stopping him from at least getting to the redzone.

Yeah he's probably my favorite player on the Colts, that drop was huge but you expect stuff like that from a rookie in the superbowl. Wayne is the veteran who vomited his mom's spaghetti all over his sweater and didn't show up.

garcon is second year, not rookie

Wtf why did I think he's a rookie? Either way I guess it's expected from someone as inexperienced as he is.

I think most would agree that Peyton is the best regular season QB of all time. And yes you can laugh Reg season HAHA, but, NFL unlike most other major sports like MLB or NBA a bad month could mean you don't make the playoffs. How many teams go 1-3 or 0-4 in a month and are even still in contention?? The Colts have won 12 and 13 games over and over in this man's career. Yes he's 9-9 in the post-season but he's won a SB and got them to another one. I mean look at Ben Rothlesberger, he's got 2 and he played friggin horrendous in that first superbowl.. Peyton played very well last night, 31-45 333 1/1 were his stats.. I understand if you want to take all the glory you have to take the blame too at the QB spot, but Peyton has had an amazing career. I don't know how anyone can say he is not top 5 right now with years left to go..

i think what mainly lost the game was the lack of defensive adjustments. they sat in the same cover 2 zone the ENTIRE GAME. didnt bother to mix it up once Brees had them figured out, and once Freeney's ankle started tightening up which really took away a lot of the pressure they were able to get in the first half.

    lol mma
