Finally saw the 2 hours and that was craziness. A lot of good theories and some were what I was thinking as well but knowing this show what looks obvious will prob not be the truth.

Emotional Sawyer is awesome. His scene with Kate on the dock was devastating.
I know right! Honestly that scared the out of me, I remember that episode perfectly.You might have a point there, as the producers said the "flashback" seasons don't really matter now that they are doing the "flash sideways" season. I think LOST would have been the perfect show if it was 4 seasons long. flashback, flashback, flashforward, flashsideways...otherwise it does start to feel like they put in a lot of useless to fill time between seasons 2-4.
The most irritating part is that they would introduce scary mysterious people, then it turns out they are nothing or get killed randomly or answer to some else. I liked the mystery of the Others when they took Walt...that was intense! But the Others ain't now.

This season is starting to irritate me. There's a slow, plodding pace to the off island scenes. It's not entertaining, it's not moving or informative. It's just boring. And for every slight, passing reveal at the end of each episode (which only takes a few seconds) there is a large chunk of filler. Lost has always been sort of a one trick pony, but now that it has reached it's final season, you'd think the format would allow for a more dynamic send off. Raising more questions is just coming across as cheap.
Damn good episode, wonder what Sawyer and Smoke man are going to do.
I'm loving this new format: the continuation of the story, PLUS the what if? storyline/timeline of not crashing onto the Island.
