Yeah...the neighborhood I live in was built on an old pecan orchard. It's actually right in the middle of the city.
More snow coming today. I don't think we've ever gotten measurable snow twice in a year.

I had 2" of snow on the ground when I left home this morning (NE RR)... enough sleet from the overnight to freeze over the driveway pretty well. Snow stopped when I left for work and on the drive in, I saw less and less snow the further I got from home.
Just tons of freezing rain now but it's just a tiny change away from turning back into a texas blizzard.
This is so weird! Sunday I got a sunburn on my forehead driving around with the top down, and today.....90% chance of sleet or snow or something? Next time someone tells me they prefer to live in a place with all 4 seasons, I'll just tell them that we see all 4 seasons in one week. , sometimes in one day!
I'm actually really surprised the far north side of San Antonio isn't getting snow yet because they've had several hours of evaporational cooling. I'd be ever more surprised if it didn't snow or sleet within the next 3 hours.

Its been snowing just 40 miles from SA all morning so far. Wasn't Austin getting it too already? There is a 1000 foot difference between most of SA and Kerrville, though, and that makes a lot of difference.
Still, lots of places in NW SA over 1k feet elevation so if you live out on those hills you will see things first. But really I think by 1pm or so people on here in SA will start posting OMG ITS SNOWING.
Bam - so it begins.
It's snowing pretty good here in north Austin. Ac ulation on cars and grass, melts on the pavement though. Been going off and on since about 8 this morning.

We have a thick blanket over us, hate that .
I actually think we might see some ... because my daughter finally gave up on ever seeing any in her lifetime.
My cleaning ladies just arrived, they drive up from St. Hedwig (south?) and said from about midtown on they had sleet all the way here.
