Well, they've been watching Finley and Bogans. Mason does play good defense "for the Spurs".

If Hairston does enough to convince Pop to start him next game, I count this as a worth while loss. Tony Parker/Manu Ginobili/Malik Hairston/Antonio McDyess/Tim Duncan. Guarantee you that lineup would work. I'm not saying there's a chance for that, but maybe there is a chance Malik Hairston gets the start.
im with you there. malik getting good time and playing well and ian should get about 8mins worth of pt time

I watched Ron Artest absolutely MUG Scola earlier in the year and they called a foul on Scola.

When Dejuan Blair barely nudges Scola, they call a foul on Blair every time.

Gotta love the officiating in this league.

Spurs have looked best with Hairston in the game. Pathetic overall but a little better with him in it because he actually had the testicular for ude to drive it to the basket.

He can start by proving it in practice which apparently he doesn't if he can't get off the bench. But wait, let me guess, Pop must have a problem with him or Pop is stupid or something like that. If you know so much why don't you go and lobby for a coaching position?

    LISTEN HEAD.

STEPHEN JACKSON was filling it up in practice and never got any court time at all then when Steve Smith got hurt the following year Pop finally gave Stephen a chance and he ing lit it up from there. Tim said they used to call Stephen buckets in practice cause he'd fill it up all the time and yet Pop may never have even played him.

You don't know what the goes on in practice. Hairston could be lighting it up for all you know.

There are three guy's in Pop's rotation who simply put aren't NBA-level athletes right now.

    He needs to go with

Tim-Dice-Hairston-Hill-Parker as his starters and Blair-Jefferson-Manu-Mason as his bench.

That's it. Those nine guys. NO ONE ELSE.

Nothing, short of an injury, will convince Pop to start Hairston over his beloved vets

Yeah, apparently Hairston hasn't been proving it either. That's why he's so terrible.
